A show about people in the last city could be very interesting. Maybe there's one guardian who wants to live a normal life and hide his ghost. It could show how we govern and everything that goes into being human at the end of days.

These a huge problem with the way Destiny story has been handle, what people of the last city? We have gone to the city like twice ever and there was no one around we don't see the people of the last city we just read about them we never get to hear them, so is hard to relate to them, for God's sake it was hard to relate to Zavala until season of the therapy, bungie leaves so much much to the written lore that is very hard to really care about the people, even during season of heroes we didn't even get a cut scene of the people of the city celebrating the guardians, we got a still image that was used on the first year and now they even brushed the event to be just Solstice so it doesn't even hold the same meaning or weight.
