  1. I like to think that the city falling will not come to pass, even though we see all these clues and hints, haven't forgotten seeing our own grave, we have proven that even fate is not written in stone. To quote a Jedi from the days of the Old Republic, 'The future is a shifting thing and he/she cuts like a blade through it.' It takes a strong will to do that I believe the Guardians, our Guardians, have that will. Some of us have the title Fatebreaker for a reason.

  2. Did a 2 truths 2 lies of savathun a few days ago. one of the lines was "the last city, is not the last city". would explain where we'd go. the other city, wherever it may be

  3. If we lose the city I hope it's an epic and memorable fight. I want to see champions falling in epic ways and going out like heroes. Shaxx fighting like a monster and killing multiple enemies as civilians are escaping aboard a shuttle and Phalanxs giving coverfire behind him. The shuttle takes off as Shaxx's light is extinguished as he is overrun by the hordes of darkness.

Ikora going up against some kind of monster of darkness and it flicking away her Nova bomb like nothing and then retaliating with overwhelming energy and whitening out the screen.

Drifter going cowboy and killing charging enemies as he is retreating aboard his ship and pulling Eris to safety with him.

I want a scene that we are aboard the H.E.L.M with just a ragtag group of remaining key members. Maybe one of the vanguard are left and many who we looked to for inspiration and leadership are dead and gone. I want a scene that will make me be so overwhelmed I sigh, take my headset off and set it down next to my controller and go and process what just happened.

  4. We could lose ground to the witness but I doubt the Last City would be forever destroyed. Vex simulations although often accurate have a hard time simulating paracasual forces. The dark future was dependent on a couple of key events, some of which never occurred in our timeline. To lose the last city would mean that either a majority of humanity would be wiped out or that we would have to have an entire season dedicated to evacuating it.

  5. Hasn’t the city already fell? Remember during the red war how ghaul took the light and so we evacuated, and them joined Hawthorne at the farm? Couldn’t we just do that again and bring back the farm, maybe even the iron temple?

  6. Hey Byf, this is kind of random, but I remember in the Datto vault cleaning vault that you like to go back and complete solo dungeons to maintain mastery (might be paraphrasing). Idk man unless those are more of a solo personal task for your guardian, it’d be cool to see the lore master in the field, kicking ass and taking names— maybe a side channel? Or videos in a separate playlist on this one? Idk I just really want to see a guardian who’s basically living and breathing in the world as a functioning and contributing member of the Destiny world also take on some gods. That’s my shpeel, I love you man, have a good night.

  7. Does anyone alse feel like bungie is planning an end to the story of destiny, like this can go only two ways

1 witness destroys the last city and the traveler runs away, gets destroyed or has its light absorbed

2 we somehow defeat the witness and the story keeps going
Maybe the traveler wakes up once again for a last stand against the witness

  8. I have an awesome theory! What if our ships become useful! Ever notice that the helm is personal to you? It's not like the tower, or in D1 the reef. It's unique to you. No other guardians. Plus there is already a machine postmaster and a vault. The H.E.L.M is already covered in fungus and we might need to flea earth. Our ships are already equipped with space travel. We've seen that before. This would be such an awesome opportunity!

  10. Honestly I’ve stopped using the tower for everything aside from grabbing bounties and stuff from the vendors you can’t access anywhere else. I spend as little time as possible there because of how awful the lag I get is. If it goes oh well

  11. What I'd like to see in the future would be a personal space for Guardians to display your favorite weapons and awards/trophies or something as just a small addition for the community.

  12. I'm kind of hoping it'll be a sort of halfway sort of situation: the last city will maybe become a patrol location, with part of it controlled by the Vanguard/Humanity, and the other part partially destroyed and controlled by the enemy.
