What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for Youtube, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! I also dabble in City Builders and strategy games like Civilization 5, Civilization 6, Dawn of Man, Stonehearth, Factorio and Rim World. I do at least two videos everyday of mainly tutorials, let’s plays and general gameplay footage. Thanks for watching my videos.

This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development.

  1. Personally Kage, I would've built in that saddle between the two green areas where you killed the turtle. Also, I think the bird trap would work better there as that's where you see the birds coming down to land. Crab pot where you see the crabs. Just suggestions. You do you. I wonder how much materials you get back if you destroy something. Maybe save the game, destroy the spinning wheel, see what you get back, if anything. You can then restore to your save to get your spinning wheel back.

  2. They added so much to this game since the last update but there are several things it needs before I'll buy it. Storage is a must! The ability to deconstruct or move items. It needs an item count while looking at your inventory, which leads me to the inventory GUI…. Not loving the backpack view. Would like to see just a standard screen for inventory. I'm sure a smoker or someway to extend the life of your food is planned. Those are a must for me, the rest of these would be nice in a future update….. I would like there to be a way to hide the large items you are carrying. The stones and logs interfere and obstruct your view. The real problem is, there are smaller items that won't go into the backpack either, that you have to hold the entire time which make carrying items from island to island quite difficult. A health meter on the animals isn't necessary but would be helpful during your attack. Fishing would be nice as well. And like you said already, a way to find hard to see items like a search and highlight feature. And the ability to blow out the fire as to not waste valuable resources is pretty important as well. It looks good so far but it's a wait and see for me.

  3. Looks like they reused a lot of assets and game mechanics from green hell. Love the water, don't think you'll ever get a search button, you never did in green hell. You had to use your own eyes and I felt it increased the immersion. Green hells foliage wasn't as dense as this game so it'll definitely be harder to find stuff.. hmm searching could become tedious. I'm also reminded of the obscene hours spent in green hell building a modest setup, hope they don't go too far in this one.

  4. If you use knives, spades and the bug net for the things they can be used on (e.g. small plants like yucca), it'll save wear-and-tear on other things like your axe. The water bottle and coconuts that've been chopped in half can be used to get water when it rains. I have also seen a player use a coconut half to get water from the rain collector. Apparently, this can sometimes freshen water that has gone stagnant. I saw another player place water in a coconut half or the bottle onto a stove cook spot to boil it. This may also purify it as well. Boiling water in a coconut half can also be used to make tea; there are tea bags to be found on the other islands. 😉
