Death toll rises from fierce winter storm, but a warm-up is on the way

The winter storm that brought snow, ice and a deep freeze to much of the U.S. over the holiday weekend is blamed for more than three dozen deaths. CBS News’ Tanya Rivero has the latest on the storm’s impact, and Weather Channel meteorologist Jordan Steele says the forecast includes milder temperatures and another storm on the West Coast.

  1. Too bad you can’t take car of Americans when you have these winters every year. In Texas where we also have below freezing temperatures and thousand of illegals aliens crossing an open border we haven’t had illegals dying. Too bad all of you elitist reporters don’t open your homes to people who have less like we are having to do in Texas. Except in Houston, Dallas, and Austin the elites are not opening their homes that just vote for the folk orouke!

  2. Are you sure those 18 deaths weren't convid related, or did it take a day off for Christmas too? 12,000 flights cancelled you say? Don't worry, they were right back at it again today poisoning the skies and I have the video to prove it. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind that this storm was geoengineered. Ain't no days off for the wicked.

  4. the consciousness of humanity is rising. what is it that we want? what is it that would ever satisfy us?
    a world of suffering?
walking past or over those suffering in the streets?
    war?
more war over addressing our own society imploding?
what is it that could ever make us happy?
