Dead End | Infection Free Zone – Part 6 (Zombie Apocalypse City Builder-Early Access)

Infection Free Zone continues and also concludes as we begin to experience a few errors in our somewhat creaking save file! Maybe it’s been infected…

We begin by welcoming our Survivors’ Army friends who are in need of medical attention but with them comes a fairly gigantic pile of zombies! However as the horde attack we notice that our buildings aren’t taking any damage, which is a little odd.

Then we spot a problem with our squads collecting all the items they’re scavenging from around the streets of Northampton. They pick the goods up but then they aren’t transferred over to the vehicles, which obviously is a problem. Fortunately for us we get this sorted! Maybe…

We chat to some more survivors and indeed go out to meet them, plus we pop out to help someone else quite nearby, but as more gigantic waves of zombies throw themselves at us and our buildings continue to be invincible, we decide to call it a day due to the slightly wibbly unstable save file.

It’s been a blast though and Northampton Market Square did us proud!

NOTE: This is the Early Access version of the game.

“The Mad Virus” has spread throughout the world with the speed of jet planes. The infected are highly aggressive, fast and strong.
In a couple of weeks, society collapsed. Cities are empty. There is no electricity, no water, and no food. Yet, there are a few survivors…

Type in the name of the city or town, download the map and start playing! Thanks to OpenStreetMap’s real-world data you can choose any place in the world for your survivors.

Establish a new “Infection Free Zone” wherever you choose. Set up shelters and production facilities. Adapt existing buildings to new needs. Build new farms and power houses. Establish defenses with walls, gates, and towers.

Utilize your knowledge of the city. What is the best place to defend? Where were the grocery stores, where were the pharmacies? Where would you look for weapons?
Remember that it’s dangerous to search the old buildings, there might be some infected lurking in the dark!

Each night your settlement might be attacked by large hordes of the infected. Fight them off with every tool available – melee and ranged weapons, vehicles, walls and light. Research a vaccine or a cure for ultimate victory, or just enjoy rebuilding entire cities!

Your Zone is not the only one that exists. Your survivors will surely find other surviving groups. Some will be friendly and willing to trade, but others will be extremely hostile. There might be some fighting involved!

  1. To play it even safer with the assault rifle you should let the last guy have it, if the unthinkable happens (knock on wood) and the driver dies the next guy who atm got the rifle will take over the wheel.

  2. If you can't get it to work would really love it if you started again with all the knowledge you have now. I really enjoy this game and you are the only youtuber I have found that I enjoy that has played this game.

  3. Thanks for the series! I've had fun watching it. The game gave you the cheat codes! LOL These game-breaking bugs do seem to be rather rampant. There have been other games where I've seen the hordes just stop coming after a certain point as well (making it essentially a post-apocalyptic base builder) or, like you, scavenging gets bugged out. This is the first time I've seen the buildings become invulnerable. It seems it was put into early release too early, but I do have high hopes for the game.
