HFY is a story/series that takes a āhuman elementā in either humanity or an āotherā (race/species or object) that exists in a āsettingā (future or other world/universe) with varying levels of culture, technology, society and history that help show in some shape or form the potential good or bad for humanityās race/culture. In These stories Humans are often referred to as Human, Humanity, Deathworlder, Hellwolder in reference to the human planet of origin , Earth. This planet is seen by most of the universe as a place where only death and chaos can survive.

Humans Are Space Orcs (HASO) or Humans Are (Fantasy Race) Are used as a guide when writing.
In these Stories we normally View humans like the other races view orcs in a Fantasy Novel. We (Humans) share the same characteristics and personalities as orcs. Humans are normally treated as the outsiders and barbarians. Humans tend to be underestimated as well in these stories. Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these donāt always put a positive spin on humanshumanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

You are saying the Unions actually became useful? Fiction is fun. Unions have on rare occasions been good for workers. But like OSHA they grew to love power, money more.

i was a shop steward for a few years.

And so we would get things done, even if we had to change things a bit from the orders, but we got it done.
The important thing was the spirit not the letter of the orders.
The dumb managers aggravated us and got, well the story told it all.

Story 1: Definitely towards the darker HFY/HASO end of the spectrum. Oh, the Elves deserved what they got, no question. But what have WE become?
Story 2: Not as dark as the other, and definitely HFY. But still, leading us down a bad path.

So HOW did Humans get to Africa? Magic, technology, some combination? Did Humans go willingly or were they forced? Apparently on their return, Human technology was able to overcome whatever magic the Elves were able to throw at them. Nitpicky I know, but still curious.
