  1. I think this guy knows exactly what he is doing. He has the judge in a pickle. He will win this thing on appeal because the judge has no control over this court or him. He will show that he was so bad at defending himself that everybody should have known that he could not defend himself. Therefore, NOT FAIR.

  2. I don't believe his tears were due to "getting compliments" nor "omg I'm outta time." I believe the tears were more so his coo-coo SC believes thinking "omg this is so unfair. It should be illegal. My rights are being violated in public view. This system is corrupt and I've been caught as a cattle. So unfair wah wah 😢"

  3. In re: prosecutors helping Mr Brooks: dude put this case on easy mode for the prosection when he went pro se. The prosecution, wanting a challenge, decided they would also help him with his defense on occasion 😂🤣

But seriously, dude prosecutor has gone over to advise him a couple times and it is HILARIOUS. His appeal is going to be interesting.

  4. Also, dude tried to make Miss Patterson look like a drunk liar. Instead, he elicited that he'd been violent with her the day before and had been arrested shortly before. Neither of those things the prosecutor brought out on direct.

He spent way too much time questioning a witness who, in the grand scheme, means way less in importance.

  5. I'm surprised @natalielawyerchick doesn't think he's innocent. But, she likely feels that It's the white man's fault that the system failed him and kept the black man down. liberals, like her see everything through the prism of race.

  6. I've tried to follow the trial as much as i can but I might've missed a couple things. incase i did can anyone answer 2 questions.
1, has a motive been established yet?
2, other than prolonging or sovcit game, has he established a line of defense? like he says he didn't do it or vehicle malfunction or what?
thanks to anyone who can answer that

  7. Brooks has been complaining about beung hard of hearing the entire trial. When they played the one video, he objected because someone in the video talked about a prior bad act. Everyone questioned that like he was making it up. No one else heard what he was talking about. The judge said she'd listen to it on break.

The judge came back from break and said "You must have amazing hearing because you're the only one who caught that. she did in fact talk about a prior bad act and it will be stricken."

So while it was a win for Brooks to get that stricken, it undermined his claim of beinf "hard of hearing".

  8. This trial will give Darrell lots of street cred to become a jail house lawyer for the rest of his time in the big house. We will call it a cigarette generator or whatever folks use as currency on the inside these days.

  9. His whole thing with questioning his ex wasn't to get folks to think she's evil because she drinks.

It was to try to say how she's untrustworthy.
That why the whole thing with the rules of the homeless shelter.
Trying to get her to say she doesn't remeber because she was so "drunk."
That thing about what she said to the police.

He's trying to do that "show" the jury that he didn't "trust" her so they shouldn't either.

  10. I think he is crazy like a fox. I believe if he throws enough poo at this, in Appeals something is going to stick. I get a weird feeling that when the judge is kind and speaks directly to him he seems to really react like a small child eager for encouragement. I think he almost has a crush on her. Well, as much as an inmate can crush on a judge. He seems to really stare at her a lot of the time.

  11. 46:50 He got teary at one point after she mentioned that he was doing well on cross. Maybe fake but… Also, much has been made of it being something about his covid record being released, but that wasn't how it appeared to me. It was just interesting since so much of what he does has seemed highly manipulative, but his emotional reaction at that one minute seemed almost genuine, like the positive feedback actually hit home a little.

  12. "Would it be fair to say…." is the new "What if anything…?" by Elaine! Phrasing it as "Would it be fair to say…" is attempting to put words in Ericka Patterson's mouth! I can see her breathing elevating through her blouse and she still maintains her composure (for the most part) as he attempts to further abuse her through cross-examination! Reminds me of the guy that kidnapped and SA'd his wife and went pro per deliberately so he could further abuse her! Bad tactic then and now!
I did sorta okay during the cross-examination of Ericka Patterson, but the 2nd time through during Natalie's stream I found myself having a mini panic attack as for some reason the 2nd time around the flashbacks hit me hard!
Thank you, Natalie, for these videos on this trial! 💜

  13. 1:56 I agree with Mr Irish, I think he's just not used to compliments. What was weird was that I saw other news sources that were trying to make like he was crying about the covid result being released.

  14. I believe Brooks has a warrant out for him in Nevada for impregnating a 15 year old. I wonder if that was Erika or another girl. Also, he has a reputation as an outspoken anti-semite and anti-white racist who has published neo-Nazi screeds. Lots about his history on google.

  15. I think his tears may have been because this is the first time he’s hearing praise. He’s being told he’s good, has done a good job and it got to him. He still sucks and deserves prison, but I think this was as close to human as he gets

  16. I’ve been wondering all this time, once you’ve given up the right to an attorney to represent yourself, if you were to realize you’re way more under-qualified than you though can you still get an appointed attorney or would you have to lay for your own
