Kings and Generals animated historical documentary series on Modern Warfare continues with the aftermath of the first phase of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine in 2022 (https://youtu.be/yBZPE9o2gHU). This set up the second phase of the war – battle of Donbas. We covered the events of April of 2022 (https://youtu.be/K2N_fHKrWIg) including the sinking of the rocket cruiser Moskva – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvB2CPpdTMY, and how the conflict turned into the war of attrition in May (https://youtu.be/D-93q4GMFT0) and continued with Russia’s best month in June (https://youtu.be/SIm4mQihHdA). In the video dedicated to July – the 5th month of the war, we talked about the arrival of the HIMARS systems which strengthened Ukrainian positions and changed the war (https://youtu.be/WS0D0X8V6rg), while this video will focus on the events of August, as we will see how Russian logistics and manpower problems were worsened by the HIMARS strikes, the risk and intrigue around the Zaporizhia (Enerhodar) Nuclear Powerplant and the long expected beginning of the Ukrainian counter-offensive in Kherson (https://youtu.be/2hZoQ4xebGw). Previously we discussed the Kherson counteroffensive in the first 2 weeks of September and showed how the Ukrainian counteroffensive in Kharkiv Oblast – Balakliya-Izium counter-offensive succeeded, pushing the Russians across Oskil and Lyman (https://youtu.be/gJRjKuss_Co) In the second half of September, Ukraine liberated even more territory in Kherson (https://youtu.be/S7usqwT-ty4), while this video will talk about the events of the beginning of October, including the attack on the Crimean – Kerch bridge (https://youtu.be/i4gebic_Wnc). In the second half of October, positional and attritional warfare continued to dominate, still Ukraine managed to attack the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol and the Grain Deal was almost cancelled (https://youtu.be/wUAzOsvaX7k), while in the beginning of November, Ukraine finally liberated Kherson (https://youtu.be/sYr5mTNljN8). In the second half of November, winter took over, making the military operation more difficult (https://youtu.be/8r0JfS6WTWs), while in the first half of December, the stalemate continued (https://youtu.be/OOpew0MbJtg). In the second half of December and first half of January, Russia advanced around Bakhmut, taking Soledar (https://youtu.be/TmpWByOr6JQ), while in the second half of January, Russian regained initiative counterattacking on the Kreminna axis and gaining ground around Bakhmut, while the West announced that Ukraine will finally receive Leopard 2, Challenger 2 and Abrams tanks alongside more armoured vehicles (https://youtu.be/eoIbUUPCkKg). Next we will talk about the possible Russian attack vectors and deduce what is the Russian plan for winter and spring of 2023 (https://youtu.be/oOGgRgWzElA). In the first half of February, Russia continued advancing around Bakhmut, but its Vuhledar attack ended in a disaster (https://youtu.be/uazg6o-c1U4), while in the second half the battles around Bakhmut continued and it continued to hold (https://youtu.be/T19EjO6JTZM). In the beginning of March, the battles for Bakhmut and Avdiivka continued (https://youtu.be/riQOPfoPwDs), and by the end of March, Russia occupied 0.01% of Ukraine (https://youtu.be/bRxjOJSv8Bg). In the first 2 weeks of April, Russian advance slowed down even more, while Ukraine was preparing for a counteroffensive (https://youtu.be/-i_qpQI29Io), and the main question became where will Ukraine attack.

  1. What proportion of the Ukrainian soldiers were forced to join the army as conscripts, rather than volunteers? I guess they will find themselves in front of the "better" units because they are more "expendable", similar to the Russians. A lot of people seem to get all caught up in strategy and speculation and lose sight of the absolutely sickening misery on the ground.

  2. I will tellnyou where Ukraine needs to strike besides the probing & feint by the Ukrainians in many places but the Kinbern Spit is where they will do a successful nut small attack & widen it from there.SF on the Spit & tanks to swing West & link up with SF & attack tje Russians from behind with a small but highly mobile unit like tje Desert Rats of Britian in North Africa. After that pull back tje SF send in tje Regular army & let the invaders feel the Ukrainians wrath. This is underscored by tje traffic going to & from that area in Ukrainians control.Could be a bluff & tje real attack will be right smack in the middle of the weakest part of the russkie mlr. From there it is anybody guess.

  3. As the russians dig in and start to shit empty vodka bottles, at the weakest point. This is everywhere since they are just dead meat… So its a target rich field for the Ukrainians.

  4. Seeing analyst all-around the world confused on where will Ukrainian would possibly making the next move kinda remind me of old Quotes from somewhere "misinformation can be a double edge sword, at one hand it can hurt you and the other can kill your foes"

  5. The offensive will start with systematic destruction of deep strategic targets, command/control, troop concentrations, logistical hubs, bridges, routes, ammo depots. Then operations will be based on very rapid penetration by light special forces probing with attacks in weak areas. probably at night. These will be quickly followed by concentrated heavy combined arms assualt. The only area where the new weapons can be maximized best is in the Northeast, flat plains, where accuracy and range advantages can be exploited. Russians will panic on contact, flee en mass, and allow a roll up of the entire Russian Eastern line. Action towards Crimea will be a diversion. Once completed Crimea will be isolated after.

  7. 12:11 – most Russians want to live in peace day by day like other nations in many countries. To go to work, to raise children, to love our families, and for the government just leaving us alone.
We know what's right and what's wrong.

Most of the soldiers in Russian mobilize forced are originally from the poorest regions of this country, so it's their best shot to get some good money even if they'll die there – "grobovie" means compensation to the family for the loss of their feeder, man of the house.
It's horrible, but it is our reality.
Some countries in Africa cares more about their people than our government here in Russia.

TL;DR we want this war to be over, and we know that the consequences of it will be there with us for decades.

  8. Ukraine achieved independance in 1991. Russia's invasion is illegitimate and profane!
Western countries must provide whatever military aid they can! To hell with Russian aggression.

  9. why have you used flags of pro russian terrorists but not russian flag ? It must be clear for everyone russian initiated this war back in 2014 and invaded openly in 2022.. do not use "donetsk" and "luhansk" " republic" flags anymore.. and respect Ukrainians fighting for their freedom against barbaric russians

  12. Great rule of war to seize ground, "Rush where there is nothing, bypass where there is something" This is how Rommel seized ground so effectively, in turn enabling the m to cutoff the stronger regions leading to collapse due to isolation

  13. Old textbook, reinforce success. Make various probes, weaken enemy resupply, gather intelligence.
Have defendable objectives. Objectives you can resupply.
Be sure you can pound enemy reinforcements and that the enemy can not do that to you.
Both know being caught in pockets is probably fatal.
    June makes sense.
Remember weakness behind the lines is as important as front line forces.
