  1. VERY solid set of starters. Honestly really hard to pick between Infino (Love some Fire Type reptiles – hey, Maisaur fossils were the first dino fossils to make it into space so this is literally perfect!) and Smobol, which is just a perfect round boy. The final evolutions for all three are amazing too. I also love that the cross shaped eyes on Illumadoom look like the cuts that get put into mushroom caps for Japanese cooking….

Y'know what? …just gonna game shark for all three.

  2. Love the concept as a whole. The astronomy concept is so unique and unusual but it would be so great to see something like this become part of the franchise. It would be amazing to see a whale based space line. I hope to see more videos in the future!

  3. Man. These designs are frigging bonkers. I mean that in the positive sense, because they're crazily well designed and thought out.
I absolutely love LOVE L O V E the Tundigrand line. The smol boi turning into a frigging frigid planetoid destructo-disk wielding tank monster!? Epic. Oh wait sorry you gave it what as an ability!? Bruh. It's busted. Usually bulky ice types are a recipe for disaster, UNLESS it's a dual Water/Ice type. And that's exactly what you've created. It's not even fair man. I love it more than words can describe.
And Illumidoom is a cool monster in its own right. The star eyes make it look menacing as heck! The night sky mushroom design is also a superb cool design aspect too. Aesthetically I think I like this line the best. But in terms of my own preferences, I just personally prefer my tanks and Tundigrand just delivers on that front.
That doesn't mean I don't like the Fire line. The inspiration behind the dinosaurs in space becoming cosmic travel vehicles is actually super neat. I just like the other two a LOT more. Sorry. The only critique I can offer is that yes, you were right, Orbitopod looks the least "Pokémon" out of the three final stages. And it's not for the reasons you would think. I actually like it's non-biological vehicle inspiration and proportions, that's actually really cool. Gru plane for the win. The one thing that throws me off is that, at least from the pose in the art, I can't imagine how its limbs function and allow it to stand when it decides to not fly. Unless of course it never needs to land, in which case, I have more questions and I don't wanna turn this comment into more of an essay than it already has become.

Summary, I love ALL the starters. Tundigrand is my fav. Also love the concept of Illumidoom. My poor brain just has too many questions about Orbitopod.

  4. I don't know if this was intentional, but there's an additional theme with the starters being at different "levels" of exploration. Illumadoom is terrestial, Orbitopod is the space between worlds, and Tundrigrand is another planet entirely

  5. If I’m interpreting it right, Orbitopod’s hidden ability would be insane 0.0

Weak to only Electric, Rock, and Water

Resisting by 8*: Bug & Grass
Resisting by 4*: Fairy & Steel
Resisting by 2*: Dragon, Flying, Ice, Normal, and Psychic

    Immune to: Poison, Ground

Neutral from everything else, which is only Dark, Fighting, Fire, and Ghost

  6. I am kind of surprised you didn't include the earthstar fungus to inform the design of Shrewm! It just seems so fitting as it is both a fungus and is shaped like a star!

  7. 8:38 you might also wanna do multiple shots on pokemon like this, ones whos action pose put into question on there idle poses. Does its tail bend? How do its arms function as arms now? Also, the under tail thruster give it a awkward feel that looks uncomfortable and could get in the way, maybe make the tail thrusters in general into port thrusters, like the ones on mega swamperts arms?

Honestly, as a whole, this region idea feels more like a completely independent world, like this one pokemon ultra recon squad game idea i saw once! Maybe this is one of the independent dimensions in Ultra Space, like completely tied to it, like Ultra Deep Sea is clearly it own dimension rather then is own planet. Still good tho

  8. Usually with fakemon im usually not one to want to pick the water starter, usually i find the grass or fire starters cooler, but here I love the Smobol line so much

  9. A really solid set of starters.

I'm usually a Water guy, but am torn between Orbitopod and Tundrigrand tbf! Ilumadoom is also ace.

Like, you got an alien, space ship and a planet here. Time to engage warp speed!
