Converting Broken Arcade Racer into DIY Sim Racing Cockpit

For a fun Summer project, I turned this old, broken, rusty arcade racing cockpit into a DIY sim racing rig. This turned out to be a quite expansive project in which I got the pleasure of using most of the machines in my workshop: fiber laser cutter, fiber laser engraver, CO2 laser, CNC lathe, CNC mill, 3D printer, metal brake, welder, and probably most importantly, the angle grinder with a wire brush attachment! So if you have a half hour to burn, follow along as I take you through the journey of this project.

  1. I was wondering if is safe to put a 1kw servo motor attached to a wheel and make no safety device between them .
If there is an error , and servo begins to spin , i don't think u would want to have an 3000+ rpm hand on that wheel .
