How to Make a Book of Shadows WITH REMOVABLE SIGNATURES! – Junk Journal Style

Time to make a new Junk Journal style Book of Shadows! Or a book of reflection as I like to call it. Today I share the whole process with you. From making the cover all the way to making and installing the signatures! All at lightning 5x speeds! Hope you enjoy the process!

The way I use this book is by making it ahead of time. I make removable signatures so I can use them daily in my travelers notebook, then when I fill the signatures up I put them back in this book. This is not only an amazing way to not have to carry a huge book around all the time, but it is great for archival purposes as well! This makes it super easy to fashion a book that starts on a certain date and spans until you have completed 6 signatures, then you can make another one and all the completed signatures have a home! Hope this helps you all archive your precious thoughts.

Who Am I?
Hi, I’m Marina if we’ve never met. I am a creative, jack of all trades, homesteading in the Inland Northwest. When I began practicing magic about 12 years ago I never imagined I would learn as much as I have. So I thought it may be helpful to share what I’ve learned with you magical folks! I also sell Washington made Beeswax Candles and Shadow Work Journals/Grimoires on my website! I hope you stick around to explore, teach, and learn about magic and sustainable living with me!

  1. Yes! Removable signatures is what I've been thinking on! I'm using an old book cover though. I was taking inspiration from your traveler's notebook but it's great to see what you do here for it. I use a 'Grimoire" where I put my 'philosophy', and then a Spellbook for spells and rituals and then I use a 'Book of Shadows' for notetaking though recently I've started using a moon calendar journal as my book of shadows. I really love it cause I keep track of my magickal practice with a moon calendar and there are pages for notes for each month and I've been pasting images in it too. The last things I wrote about in it were the results of my money bowl working this week and a dream I had 🙂 xo, Aurora

  2. Hi! The last thing I put in my grimoire, my 2nd, was how I make spell-in-a-jar spells, specifically the self love one I just made. You know, with like drawings and stickers too lol I have the Antiquarian Bibliophilia sticker book. It's got some cool/funny stickers. Thanks for sharing. <3

  3. Oooh this was so fun to watch! I recently made a tea dyed grimoire inspired by yours and haven’t been able to put it down. This is such a good idea! I have a travelers notebook but struggle with how to use it (I both love and hate the smaller signature thing). It just dawned on me that usually my book of reflections musings ends up in assorted scrappy trash notebooks, and I’m always looking for my notes. Maybe I’ll take “another page from your book” (pun slightly intended) and try this idea out.
Oh and to answer your question, the last thing I wrote about in my book of reflections (or my book for notes I’m still integrating) is my human design profile, also inspired by you. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️
