Christians, It’s Time You Know the TRUTH about Christmas . . .

Does Christmas actually have pagan origins? Should Christians say “Happy Holidays”? When was Christmas first celebrated? This video answers all of those questions and more. Listen to our hosts Bodie Hodge and Rob Webb talk about what Christmas is really about, starting from the beginning. “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)

  1. I don't worship the tree. My goodness. People give the devil so much power he is sitting laughing at people give him credit and make his power grow and he doesn't even have to lift a finger.

  2. MercifulServant on Youtube explains the whole subject. You're being biaised. Quran mentions the birth of Jesus which is in Summer when there's actually dates in the palm tree. The mosques are full but the Doms are somehow empty. why? Cause people know what's right and what's wrong.
Christmas is pegan, stop manipulating this subject. The actual reward for this is hellfire, remember.
Birthday celebrations are "Bidaa-بدعة" in Islamic teachings. Holydays? Holidays? who made them holy? God? Allah? or the bible ? or you? if it's you then you're polytheistic already, if it is God? Jesus is not a God but a prophet. If it is Allah, bring a statement from the Quran or The Bible to defend that!
A couple of manipulators using a manipulated (proven to be) book to push their false arguments forward.
Do you feel certain that The bible is more authentic than The Quran? everyone is free to believe whatever he wants but let's put more efforts and research The Bible next to The Holy Quran.

  3. It sure sounds an awful lot like trying to make excuses, especially for bringing a tree with decorations inside vs. looking to SCRIPTURE and following the Word. Nowhere in God's Word does it tell us to celebrate this day, nor does it give a specific date of Christ's fleshly birth (there's obviously a reason why we don't know – considering He always existed) – what is most important is that He died and shed His blood for all our sins! Where does Scripture speak to mingling the pagan celebrations of wintertime, winter solstice and the like of decorating a tree and co-opting these to make it now about Christ's birth? Is that really justified?

To the one gentleman saying you can teach your children that the ornaments are the followers of Christ and the tree is Christ? You will bring then them up putting so much focus and importance on a tree, instead of Christ. We should be thinking of God Our Father and Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ everyday – 1 Thessalonians 16. I somehow cannot justify, after being born anew, and reading the Word daily how the tree and decor is OK with God. Just because its something we grew up with and have many fond memories of, and millions of people celebrating, doesn't make it right.

Lastly, I must comment regarding these videos and why you feel the need to make it fast talking, switch the cameras constantly and then have the shaky camera effect? All it does is make most people NOT want to watch, its literally nauseating. If you have a good message, why would you need the antics or to kowtow to a certain age group? If the message is important and solid, that should be good enough, not bending to whats the latest fad.

Mark 7:7. Jesus said, “In vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men…. All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition.” (This includes the Catholic Church)

Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

  4. This is wicked for y’all to try to make this seem acceptable. Yes you should teach about Christ during this season but everything you say is leading many astray. Pray to the Most High for discernment on this. These are pagan festivals and holidays, they are not the original Holy days. (Feast of tabernacles etc.)

  5. The people made a golden calf to “worship God” they made it to represent God
Their heart said that it is God (the same one that saved them) God doesn’t want us to worship him like that

“Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.”

  6. Britannica Trees have been used in rituals and as decorations since ancient times, thus making the source of the modern Christmas tree open to debate. However, many believe that it originated in Germany. It is claimed that in Germany about 723 the English missionary St. Boniface encountered pagans preparing a sacrifice at an oak tree dedicated to the god Thor (Donar). Boniface took an ax to the tree, and, when not struck down by their god, he proclaimed to the awed pagans that a nearby evergreen was their “holy tree.” Other sources report that a fir grew on the site of the fallen oak.

One question though… Since everyone knows for sure that Jesus could not have been born on December 25th why would we just roll with that?

God has appointed his people holy days and it seems most of us don’t even know anything about it 😞 and we gladly adopt what they call Christmas
(The devil is so happy if you are an idolator)
    Full of pagan traditions
And then we do what the Israelites did with the cow and say it’s for God 😞
Surely our fathers inherited lies 😢

  7. Traditionally, Jews and early Christians tended not to celebrate birthdays. In the Julian calendar, Dec 25th marked the shortest day of the year and after the days began to lengthen. Winter represented death to most Gentile/Indo-European/heathen nations because of the harsh winter. Research Sol Invictus on your own time. The worship of the sun(Sol) was also indigenous to the Romans.

Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

  8. The real reason "Christian " churches refuse to disavow Christmas is because it would empty their pews of worldly men and women.
It would separate the wheat from the tares. The goats from the sheep. We are called to be seperate. Mark 7:7.

    Jesus Christ is LORD!
This, is what should be known, must be realized.
The Lord is not going to give a quiz on the Christmas holiday and Christmas traditions. Jesus was born, Jesus lived, Jesus was crucified, Jesus rose/conquered the grave, overcame the world. Jesus Christ🙌 will come again, in all his Glory. 🤗🤗🤗 Thus, do not argue about the holiday or traditions or other such things, know The Lord. Invest time, in knowing him, Jesus Christ. 🙌 'Love The Lord, Love one another'.

  10. Being raised in North Carolina, ignorance was the main meal of the day in school. Later, I learned supposedly how old the Earth was not. I believed we were being lied to on mass scale. Every scientist who had a job at all, was lying to their family, students and anyone that communicated with concerning science.
I've always been interested in science. I watched it every chance I got on PBS. I checked that station every half hour most of the time when I was a kid. Finally, I begin to look into maybe why Christian apologists disagreed with the consensus view of scientists peer-reviewed work in so many disciplines. I learned what the truth of the science actually was, I learned of Kent Hovind's misdemeanors and serious allegations of serious crime. I learned why the court found him guilty on like 59 charges of structuring. Then I took the time to learn what structuring was. That's unforgivable. Nobody gets by without paying for the hospitals, the schools, the streets, the water supply, the police department, fire department. It was obvious that Kent Hovind was a fraud and there's no way he couldn't know it. (Citation Romans chapter 13. The entire chapter.) I eventually found Aron Ra and now Forest Valkai.
All we really have to do is
    "Google It!"
I never knew it was really that simple. I thought that was a joke. Some sarcasm people would say. That was wrong. When you're offered everything there, you're able to compare the things to see what adds up, what is logical and what is not.
I'm quite sure that you're aware of this. I'm also sure that you're aware that if reason, logic and indeed the peer-reviewed evidence is contrary to the Bible's claims and you are unwilling to admit the truth, we call that dishonesty. You are aware of the truth, you deny it.
    As Aron Ra says,
"The truth is what the facts are and if you can't show it, you don't know it."
When reason is put aside for a possibility of something miraculous, that's where many people draw the line and do not enter. I received the dogma from the age of 6 and later began to self indoctrinate by studying the New testament at the age of 21. It was only my love of Science and ancient history surrounding the bible, that I discovered the cuneiform tablets and the multiple languages of Sumer expanding some 3,000 years. The flood story in the epic of Gilgamesh is where the spell broke. From that day forward the roughly 150 panic attacks a year that I had, turn to one a year for the past 7 years. ('16 -'22) Although 40 years of my life, from childhood to middle-age was lost as being a bibliophile, I am happy to have received the truth of the matter. Where the Bible came from and where the earliest stories of time actually are from.

Any of your ministers who have gone to a reputable seminary, knows where the first 11 chapters of Genesis came from. Those are Sumerian city-state stories of gods and men. That's the truth. If they deny it, they're lying to you.

  11. Good day and I say this to you in love as you sit there with your Santa hats proclaiming that Christ is in Christmas there is no Christ in the Bible about Christmas Christ celebrated the Passover and the feast days he never had Christmas there’s no Christmas in the Bible it’s a man-made tradition it’s called the traditions of man!

And let us be reminded that God himself and Jesus told us that we are not to worship him in pagan holidays and to worship him in the holidays that he created the feast holidays here are the Scriptures to back it up

“He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, But their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, Teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭7‬:‭6‬-‭9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭10‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.”
    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭12‬:‭30‬-‭31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭10‬:‭2‬-‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.4.24.KJV

“thus making void the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And many such things you do.””
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

We are to worship God in spirit and in truth not these false gods for god is a jealous God and he wants all of our worship not for us to worship him in false gods and their faults traditions of man !

  12. There is nothing to “take back for the glory of God, and Christ was never in Christmas.” Why do we fight so hard to hold onto traditions of men when God gave us His feasts to celebrate and worship Him with? Leviticus 23 lays it all out. He says they are His feasts – not Jewish feasts. In celebrating His feasts, we do not share Him with Santa Clause, elves, egg laying rabbits, etc. His feasts are ALL ABOUT HIM, which is the beauty of it all. He shares His glory with no one. We need to wake up as a church to the truth of God’s word and return to the ancient path that He laid out for us to follow. Satan is a master deceiver and managed to get us away from worshipping our Lord and Savior in the manner that He deserves to be worshipped and commanded us to worship Him.

He dresses as Santa Clause and visits with people who are terminally ill and shares the Gospel with them as "Santa Clause" if they are not believers, then weather they are believers or not he prays with them asking GOD to heal them so they can testify to his his healing power if that is his will for their life. He has seen people that were in Hospice for cancer make full recoveries after "Modern medicine" had given up on them.

  14. Shepherds would never be out in the fields with their flocks in the middle of December. It would be far too cold and miserable, and shepherds would know to take their flocks somewhere safer. Since we know Jesus was more likely born in late summer or early fall, why do we celebrate His birth in December? Also, Jesus may not have a birthday Dec. 25th, but do you know who does? Mithra, the Roman and Greek god of the sun.

  15. This strikes me as incorrect, it’s a shame because I largely depend upon the information this channel releases.
I feel like generally information from this channel is accurate and reliable.

But man this piece, no – go for me.
I don’t know much about Christmas. But there’s no way to justify something that just isn’t what it isn’t.

And when the guy spoke on communion, if you’d fall for that, and not know the history on that, how do you expect to maintain your credibility in the history of Christmas?

Also, video idea. Rather than trying to debunk and rationalize Christmas. How about actually explaining its origin, the purpose, and how it was celebrated at it conception, what brought about its conception, and bringing scripture in to validate it.

Remember if Jesus didn’t keep it, why would you?

  17. Unfortunately they didn’t answer the question on where Christmas originated. They gave plenty of explanations on where it didn’t come from. Why do Christians celebrate it on December 25? Was Jesus born in the winter? If it were not pagan, then why did the first settlers in America ban Christmas? Lots of unanswered questions to protect that which you don’t want to give up.

Here is what I love about Christmas…it is the only day that celebrates God with us Emmanuel…Jesus isn't anything less than deity, as other religions would say…He is God…and I wonder what the enemy thinks with us having a day that celebrates the incarnation of GOD…that even the secular world will celebrate? This Christmas is pagan stuff seems to be growing every year 🤔 listen can we at least agree it's a matter of Christian freedom

  21. You do know that Christmas was initially banned in all of original New England by the puritans due the the historical context of its pagan roots right? I’m a 5-point reformed Christian and don’t deny this for a second… it’s literally historical. Does it mean that it can’t be redeemed and we can’t celebrate Jesus’ birth with gifts? No. But denying its pages roots is just about one of the most absurd things I’ve ever heard.

  22. To all of the people here in the comments section who are condemning Christians for celebrating Christmas. I would like to warn you that you are being legalistic since you are trying to force your personal convictions upon other Christians. Rather Christians celebrate Christmas or not is a secondary issue, not a salvation issue since rather Christians celebrate Christmas or not is a matter of conviction, and you should not force your convictions upon others because it is legalistic to do so. If someone condemns you for celebrating Christmas then do not listen to them because they are one of those legalistic pharisees who are trying to put Christians in bondage.

  23. I agree on Paul's principle of not judging others or being judged for holidays, foods, etc. That said, just remember that "anti-Christ" doesn't just mean "opposed to Christ," it means "in place of Christ" too. Santa is an anagram for Satan (probably just a coincidental curiosity, but still interesting). His clothing is red like Christ's blood. He has hair white as wool like the ancient of Days. He knows the thoughts and intents of the heart (which only God knows). His catchphrase is, "Ho, ho, ho," which appears four times in the Bible, once by Boaz and the other three times by God. He is effectively omnipresent in delivering gifts all across the world and is not bound by walls (though you could say he uses the chimney) even as Christ came into locked rooms. His "reward is with him" in the form of gifts. He makes the clouds his chariot (Psalm 104:3). He sits in the place of God in many people's hearts and "in the sides of the North" as Lucifer aspires to in Isaiah 14:12-14. He is surrounded by supernatural elves that do his bidding like the angels. He and his bride (Mrs. Klaus) have the same clothing/raiment and she is effectively conformed to his image. He may or may not have the power to turn snowmen into living creatures (a walking, talking idol trying to be a counterfeit of Adam made from the dust?). Habakkuk 3:19 and other Psalms speak of our Bridegroom like such, "The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places." An allusion to flying reindeer? Haha, so that one may be a bit of a stretch, but I thought it interesting.

I could probably go on lol, but I really do see Santa as an idol for many people. The worst part is that he is taught to children, and then they discover he is a lie, and then their faith in God can be undercut since they have similar attributes. I do gather with my family on Christmas, but I think that it would be of far more value to celebrate the Biblical Hanukkah (the allusion to the priestly Maccabees in John 10:22, not the Rabbinic legend). Perhaps we should take the opportunity to point to the prophecies of Daniel (likely the one who gave the prophecies of Messiah to the "magi"), the history of the Maccabees and that of Antiochus IV, surnamed “Epiphanes” who made the Jews wear a mark to buy or sell and how he set up an idol and a swine sacrifice in God's Temple as a type of the anti-Christ. Maybe we should teach the persecution of God's people then and in the future, and how the anti-Christ will set up the abomination that makes desolate. We should definitely teach of the magnificent redemption and deliverance of God's people by Him, for He is good, for His mercy endures forever.

I just see Christmas as a distraction to the godly feasts and holidays, and I feel this Scripture applies more than any of us (myself included) wants to admit. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
    (Hos 4:6)

  24. search winter solstice celebration pagan and you'll find that it's called Yule, and in most forms of Wicca it's celebrated as the rebirth of the newborn solstice sun. The Catholic church is the one who began the celebration of christmas–they were trying to get pagans to come to their church. It's a time of year when pagans all over the world celebrate the ritual to welcome back the sun. God never commanded us to celebrate the birth of Jesus. He commanded us to celebrate the Feasts of the Lord and keep the Sabbath. The Catholic church began the celebration of Sunday as the Lord's Day instead of Sabbath, the day of the sun. I want to obey God and not man.

  25. Colossians 2:16-17 is taken out of context. Paul is writing to the church of Colossia–they are keeping the Sabbath and the commandments. He is saying "let no one judge you". This church was a church that had people who had come from paganism, gnosticism, and orthodox judaism. They were not to let those people-pagans, gnostics and orthodox jews judge them for keeping the Sabbath, The Feasts and the New Moons. I would encourage you to do a study on the Sabbath, the Feasts and the New Moons.

  26. I'm one of the ones so torn on this issue. I've researched plenty of pagan practice related to Christmas. In my personal opinion, "celebrating the birth of Jesus" just isn't enough reason for me to celebrate the "holiday" because Jesus wasn't born on December 25th. No one knows when he was born but you can get a good idea when reading scripture that it was most likely between September and October because the shepherds were out in the pastures attending their flocks and they would have no reason to be out there during the late part of the year or after the harvest season. I appreciate Answers in Genesis for their argument but I still believe it's unbiblical and if you're celebrating a birth on December 25th then you're celebrating the wrong Jesus.

Jesus was not born on December 25, he was born more likely in September but December 25 is the day that we celebrate it.
