  4. So, if yall don't research, i hope you read my comment. For healing you need to stay hydrated and fed until you get access to actual healing items. Your infection can be fixed with antibiotics and happens when you get hit, not hitting bodies. You use to be able to loot zombies and can break them down for bones. Keep building things because that's how you get up you stats and build better versions that last longer. Building a base is important, at least to me. For the 7th day, I resorted to the hole strategy. Bring food and water so you dont expire while waiting out a blood moon, dig a hole down, make sure you have plenty of shovels to get out if you don't have a bunker (I built my own concrete bunker, 2 layers. I was the base builder and maintenance guy) but the hole strategy works, just do it away from your base, like a 30 second run away, because the zombies destroy anything in the way and you don't want them destroying your base, as I have learned the hard way the first 7th day.
Edit: bring weapons as well because the initial horde will be alive, eventually I used the bunker hallway, one lane, and would block it with like stone or something stronger than wood. Perfect for target practice. A good hiding area too is finding a preexisting bunker and reinforcing wherever you broke in from with dirt. Dirt is friend, dirt is life. Also moats are great for making sure you aren't being constantly being attacked. Save glass jars for fresh water, start a farm as soon as you can. Take veggies or berries, craft a stone hoe, and farm. I cant recall if anything need water or it just grows, i know i dug a hole in our base and bucketed water into it and it was infinite.

  5. I love playing this game with my husband! And im super excited to see you finally play it. But just a little advice i would suggest making your own base from scratch and not make any of the houses your base they can reset and all your stuff you worked hard to get or build around the house will disappear. Especially if your doing missions. Its great to just stay safe for a short time while your building your main base but i wouldn't make it permanent. Hope you guys have fun though! Cant wait to see more! 😊
