From the depths of darkness, a dragon soars.

A new dark fantasy Three Kingdoms action RPG from Team NINJA, the developers of Nioh.

184 AD, Later Han Dynasty China. The land is overcome by chaos and destruction. The imperial dynasty that prospered for many years is now about to collapse.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within.

Wo Long refers to a crouching dragon, and also refers to a hero or person of greatness who is not yet known. This is the story of officers, who will later become heroes, during their ‘unknown’ period, and also the story of a protagonist’s rise from being a ‘nobody’.

A dark fantasy set during the chaotic Three Kingdoms period, the narrative vividly tells the tale of a militia soldier’s strenuous fight for survival during a Later Han Dynasty infested with demons. It’s madness in the Three Kingdoms like never before!

Defeat deadly enemies to boost morale and awaken the power from within! Overcome adversity through unique new strategies, including battle styles based on the “Five Phases”.

Renowned for ruthless strikes that can change the tide of battle in an instant, sword practitioners of the Chinese martial arts gracefully change pace as they shift between offensive and defensive maneuvers. Overwhelm opponents with a flurry of force in a series of intense and bloody battles while learning the precision and skill necessary to become a true master of the sword.

Choose from a wide variety of weapons, from glaives to dual swords, to discover which fits your fighting style.

This secret art draws upon the power of the Five Phases, which allow for attacks using such elements as flames and ice. Upon achieving higher Morale Ranks, you can gain the ability to utilize even more powerful Wizardry Spells.

Divine Beasts like Zhuque and Baihu are brought forth through alliances with other warriors. By calling upon these Divine Beasts, you are able to perform feats of great power.

  1. What do you think about the status effects increasing damage of the weakness element? So chill increasing the damage of stone? You suggest doing the other way around, so taking lightning to deal with water's weakness to earth instead. Maybe the coverage is better, and you do get a lot of damage from just pouring into your main attribute.

  2. The leveling of the phases didn’t really make sense to me at first cause I’ve always been a type to be like “why wouldn’t I level them all up evenly?” And being a person who’s never enjoyed min/maxing or making “builds.”

Like it makes sense agreeing reading and watching tutorials, but I really don’t care to try. I just don’t care for that type of stuff, I just wanna “level up” and move on.

  3. does this game have a level cap like Nioh, or is it more like Souls where it’s just 99 in every stat? hope it’s not the latter. i like actual thought-out level caps as opposed to “eh.. it stops when everything is maxed out”.

basically, games like dark souls would be greatly helped if the level just maxed out at like 150 instead of letting you max out everything,

  4. at 19:15 what did you say there sorry cant really tell, your voice is slightly faint there, what decreases upper and lower spirit gauge there?

Edit: Also thanks a bunch for the video really explained a lot of things I wasn't certain or familiar with, thumbed and subbed [apparently i was already subbed but it counts!!], thanks once more 😀

  5. Thanks, I started the game as it was on Xbox Ultimate and love that I can go from PC to Xbox and maintain saves, but the game did not feel intuitive for me. I am having a hard time using the X and Y (Xbox Controller) for attacks! I am so used to using the R Triggers for this, and I often mess up and find myself using the Triggers instead of the X, and Y buttons resulting in death….

  6. Ive put in some time already on wo-long, and in most games I still will watch cowboys "starter guides" I always seem to miss some detail of some stat category and he covers it all thoroughly or reminds me of something cool I may have missed

  7. Very useful video, thank you, because I think this game is quite overwhelming at first, I started playing but I struggled to understand the mechanics as you're thrown right into action with not that much explanation (specifically about leveling up)

  8. Can someone explain to me what Qi fragments are? The game doesn't do a good job of explaining exactly what it is and I don't have a clue on why I have it and what to use it for.

  9. Great video – very helpful. I love the respec capability in this game and if you want to play it more traditionally then you don't need to use the function. I also love the ability to change the character features on the fly if you want. So much about this game is really well thought out.
