Daily (weekday) extracts of our push to finish the chateauโ€™s coach house. For background to the project, the push and our new helpers, make sure youโ€™ve watched this video: https://youtu.be/dIxhwe8ftlU

We are Marc, Amy, Clement and Juliette, a French-English family restoring a 33 room medieval chateau and huge estate in southern France. Follow our award-winning, historically-sensitive restorations and our journey towards self-sufficiency and sustainability, with plenty of laughter along the way.

We have just launched a brand new channel, @LostGardensofChateauRosieres to showcase our gardens and estate project. Weโ€™d love it if you could head over and click subscribe if you like it!

  2. Amy, you are the best, loved your bunny tale!! Your children are very blessed to have you for their mommy. That you and Marc had the energy to pull together a birthday party is absolutely amazing. You have to be exhausted. Love these daily videos. xx

  3. Another great vlog. Love your little cameraman. Great work with the painting. Told tge Grandkids your joke and the thought it was hilarious. They showed me a very similar one called the Duck song on utube. Its great as well.

  4. Great joke, Amy – and you juggle (DIY, childcare, chicken wrangling, laundry, tile making, etc.) as well! So talented. I was extremely impressed by Clement's videography skills. ๐ŸคฉHe held the camera so still, and that had to be hard for a boy his age. He takes after his perfectionist parents. Poor Marc. Few things as annoying as chronic mechanical issues. I was imagining how much equipment you must have there to go wrong on any given day. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ Pleased to hear the chickens will have next-level housing! Peacocks are pretty but BIG and loud. Hoping things go well for all of you the rest of the week. P. S. Happy Birthday Michaela, from Nebraska. ๐Ÿ‘‹

  6. Well done you! It always amazes me how you can juggle kids, chickens, renovations, husband, chateau, household chores, volunteers and who knows what else! You're a bit of a superwoman, Amy! I'm enjoying the dailies, but for goodness' sake don't get hung up on them if you can't do them! We want to see you, but not stressed out because of videos!! I'm glad that your childcare situation seems to be working well, that must make a huge difference for you. See you next time! Big hugs xx

  7. Hi Amy et al! What a delightful vlog! I applaud you and your herculean efforts for daily vlogs! I'm a grandmother with grandchildren old enough to be parents themselves. However, I well remember being a mommy with toddlers, then a grand-mommy caring for toddler grand babies! It was always a circus, balancing household duties such as washing clothes, which are multiple duties in one, from sorting whites, colors, delicates, etc, to pre-spotting stains, transferring from washer to dryer to folding and separating into specific child's pile… you get the picture… meanwhile, you get interrupted multiple times to settle squabbles, kiss & comfort a booboo,๐Ÿค• redirect a no-no, answer the phone, help get a drink๐Ÿฅ›, clean up a spill๐Ÿซ—oh! I forgot to get hamburger out of the freezer so I could make that yummy casserole for supper. Oh… another boo๐Ÿง๐Ÿผ
Anyway, I often find myself reliving these memories as I watch you interacting and balancing your roles as mommy, wife, homemaker, DIY chateau renovator, YouTube filmer, content creator, editor, etc, all the while making your first priority your beautiful & bright Clement and Juliette. Bravo! I love that you are real and totally authentic and that your priorities appear correctly balanced towards your family. At best, you only have them 18-20 years, and it goes so FAST! Keep on being you! You have an amazingly talented, smart, hard-working & funny husband, 2 adorable & precious children, an incredible historic country setting for your family to live, grow, learn, love, and thrive within. I just want to thank you for sharing your very fascinating, interesting, educational, and entertaining life with people all over the globe who couldn't imagine the challenges of salvaging, repairing, repurposing, while preserving as much as possible the art, beauty, and historical significance incredibly beautiful medieval structures. I've never been to France, nor had opportunities to travel much, though I've always been interested in especially European history as my husband's and all my ancestors immigrated to America from mostly central and northern European countries. I took French for 2 years in high school without ever having the opportunity to use it or perfect it for conversational use, but here in my mid-70s, I've found myself addicted to watching multiple YouTube channels all living in and sharing their chateau renovation stories. That was really the only really positive gift the pandemic brought me and probably a few million other bored people looking to escape the sadness, frustration, and anger & fear associated with lockdowns & conditions beyond our control. Sorry, Amy, for ๐Ÿคข ๐Ÿคฎ all over you, but thanks for sharing the last few years of your family and life between 2 gorgeous mountain ranges! An old retired registered nurse and proud Mom of 3 & grandma of 7 from the beautiful Pacific Northwest USA! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ
