‘Brutal honesty’: Boris Johnson admits UK ‘dropped the ball’ on nuclear power

Sky News host Chris Kenny says outgoing Prime Minister Boris Johnson delivered some “brutal honesty” when he exposed how the United Kingdom “dropped the ball” on nuclear power.

“Johnson has to wear some of the blame himself, of course, the conservatives have been indolent on nuclear and have tried to push renewables instead,” Mr Kenny said.

“Still, it is useful for the outgoing Prime Minister to bell the cat.”

  4. "Honesty"
    Are you serious?
They knew what they were doing, systematically destroying Britain's and all Western nations, energy security as ordered by their globalist backers.
Johnson followed UN agenda 2030 and accelerated Net Zero while closing expensive clean burning plants, refusing to frack or invest in nuclear and on top of that he helped create the Ukraine crisis by backing the 2014 coup and breaking the Minsk agreement and refusing to communicate with Russia and then for good measure flew over to scupper a peace deal in April and spends billions of taxpayer money on weapons to keep the war going all while apply insane sanctions that only hurt Briton's and do nothing to stop the war.
Oh and let's not forget the anti-science lockdowns and furlough that started it all in the first place.
Like every leader and career politician from and including Blair he should be hung for treason, war crimes and crimes against humanity.

  6. Isn't this amazing to hear at the time he walks out of the door especially after all his waffle about green energy and net zero crap. Yes we all want to do better for our planet but somewhere in all this mix comes an item that has nothing to do with saving our planet but controlling people, something that was tried in the Covid outbreak, now man made food and energy shortages …….to control people.

  8. Many if not most people buy EVs not because of the renewable debate but because they are often a better car . Efficient, quite ,very fast and the software light years ahead of everyone else . They don’t buy them to save the planet .

  9. About time. Any sensible analysis clearly shows a mix of renewables (mainly wind) and nuclear is absolutely essential to meet future energy needs in a green house gas constrained world.
