Greta Van Fleet – Black Smoke Rising – Live – 9/27/22

Concert Review 5.3/5
You know god damn can that kid sing. Has a super special voice, especially on the fact they are hitting high notes that I didn’t even know existed. Another big part is the guitar riffs in the song are super good. Whoever is writing that deserves more credit because really brings everything together. And the songs they did sing were all really good, but my issue is they jammed way too much. I’m not interested in a jam band I’m interested in seeing the 30+ songs I liked so would love to see them play more songs and jam less in the future. Their big notables were black smoke rising, highway tune, heat above, light my love, and age of man but honestly, anything they play feels like a big deal

This is my own personal reviews for concerts so I can remember what I liked and didn’t like. I made these long before I ever thought to put the concert videos on YouTube but thought it would give the viewer a better overall understanding of how the band/artist is live. I would also like to preface that my favorite thing in the world is to like things so it is very hard for me to be critical and I often score many bands highly. My rating system is out of 5 but you will rarely see a score below 3.5. I score a 3.5 as good, 4 as very good, 4.5 as great, and 5 as excellent. There are 4.75 and 4.25 reserved for bands that deserved more than a 4.5 and 4 respectively but I couldn’t bump them all the way up
