  1. You guys are the first ive heard giving details on the 2 new hotels. The next few years in Vegas are going to be exciting, if we can keep our heads above water.

  2. The strip casinos are breaking all time record in revenue with high hotel occupancy and a ton of foot traffic on par or surpassing previous years' numbers. They should (casinos) band together to put a police task force specifically just for the strip (Paradise). Establish micro-stations at street corners with dispatch/triage capability. Make law enforcement visible with emphasis on order and no criminal activity to be tolerated. They can disperse 250 – 500 officers – on foot, on bikes, on patrol cars – during busy times . Domestic and international visitors will eventually shy away from Vegas if the perception of safety becomes a major concern, which seems to be trending up with these recent incidents. I'm certain the casino executives are talking about it, but if they don't act in coordination with the city any time soon, then they are hedging the future viability of Vegas as an enjoyable and safe destination with inaction.

  3. Glad to see the continued development of the Arts district. I'm a big proponent of small independent businesses in a sea of corporations. Great job as always guys.

  4. A woman street performer on Fremont Street was in her circle twirling long plastic strips with 2 young children sitting behind her. She hit the older child in the face with the strip (no clue what they are called, but probably 4 or 5 feet long). She had no clue she did it & eventually the father (or whomever) went over to calm the child. This was after 11pm & the children were probably 3 & 5. They shouldn't have been out there at all at that time of night. The circle was between Circa & Golden Gate, so if it was a weekend night, it wouldn't have been within the 21+ section.

  5. I used to visit 3 or 4 times a year from Jersey but now I just stick with my local Atlantic City. No incentive to go to Vegas at all with all the crime and crazy inflated prices on everything, it's a joke

  6. I feel like we all kind of cheat death every time we walk around The Strip in Las Vegas. I've never truly felt safe there and it does seem to be getting worse over the last 5 years. I wish someone had gotten that man some help before he did what he did. I saw his TV interview and he was clearly asking for help and said he needed his new medication. Such an awful situation.

  7. Hi Shawn and Mark! I like the new twice-weekly shorter-video format. That said, I'm sad when the end comes because I enjoy your topics and humor (Criss Angel 😄) Thanks guys!!

  10. Hi Shawn and Mark; yes the stabbing situation was horrific! I couldn't believe it when I was watching the news and saw it. The fact remains that there are straight up crazy unstable folks EVERYWHERE, and Vegas is Not the only tourist location with these tragedies going on. We have the same here in Denver, and they are around the Nation. However, if and until we get a handle on the serious issue of mental illness, it will unfortunately continue. Stay safe and healthy out there! CAB😊

  11. Every bridge walkway should have a officer posted. You can’t tell me the Casinos can’t pay for more cops out of their billion dollars profits to make it more safe. I hate to walk over those walkways because of all the homeless coming out on them loitering.
