  1. Ok love the rant about "stop criticizing influencers". This can also apply to mothers!! People always say "moms criticize moms faster than anyone" this also needs to fucking stop!

  2. From my understanding people took the term body checking and ran with it. The term was explained to me by my therapist years ago that harmful body checking looks like pinching your stomach to see if its bigger or smaller today, always measuring yourself to monitor your weight. However a simple look in the camera cant be considered body checking people are insane. If body checking is a trigger for you stop looking at other peoples bodies and comparing yourself thats your issue to work on

  3. Alix Earle has an episode called friendship breakups and it’s definitely about this friendship.
Her episode this week also briefly talks about how she bumped into this ex friend recently & it made her super emotional.

  4. Body checking is a clinical term to describe a behavior associated with eating disorders. Body checking (in my practice) is NOT glancing in the mirror to look at your self, outfit, tan etc. Body checking IS spending a significant amount of time (can be hours a day) checking, measuring, taking a LARGE amount of photos etc. it is a clinical term that we have now over used in media. Just like OCD, narcissistic etc.

  5. What you are failing to realize because you make no effort to ever educate yourselves before speaking with your full chest on something, is that internalized misogyny comes from the standards MEN and SOCIETY hold us as WOMEN to. WOMEN are not the problem. My god. Stop with that shit.

  6. For the record I work a traditional admin job and I don’t think there’s a second of the day I’m not body checking. For no one at all. And with no camera or mirror 😂😂😂
