Chaps guys don't compromise on safety
Am no expert in the whole chain geometry side of it. I used to try hand filing but I managed to get my grinder set up and have started grinding my chains they cut so much better so much faster aswell. Great video. Nice see imbread Jed back. š“ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó “ó æš Also 16-18" chains and bars are very common over here in Scotland no one really uses anything bigger than an 18" bar and chain. Me I use between 24-36 can I ask though Jake are u orite touching up a ground chain with a round file or are u better with a flat or square file?
does this chain require more power to pull than round file
Really enjoyed this video. I am very interested in seeing more test cuts with this hexa chain. I had watched a different YouTube channel where their results were much different and the hexa chain they had was the slowest. I do not know why they had such different results than you but I am very curious and want to see more. Hopefully we can get the Hexa chain here in the states sometime soon.
Jake pulling out the home shopping network "cha-ching" soundfx. Is that am easter egg teaser for the new show – Chainsaw Shopping with Mr Rogers.
Thanks for the video it was good. Hope we get that chain in the US sometime soon.
JED!!! My man!
For the ease of sharpening with my bench grinder, I'll stick with "round file". Lol
Enjoyed the video. Not sold on the Hexa. Nothing like a good round file sharpened chain. Let's see what Buckin' Billy says about it.
Nice to Jed again! Interesting video Jacob š
what saw shop was it? will be going to norway soon and would like to stop by
Love seeing all of Jedās icons up on his wall.
I filed with a mill bastard file for awhile and was pleased with the results. I hope this becomes available in the states soon
Norwegian guy here, watching your videos for a couple of years now!
What business did you have in Norway?
It looked like you were in a shop called "FelleskjĆøpet" š
About the short bars here, small diameter trees= small bars.
Good video guys
I'm in south west montana an I got one for my husky lol love it but filing is definitely new but I'm getting it
Jed ! š¤š¤
Same way I break a chain while the legit punch is next to the bench grinder..
Weāve got the hexa chain here in Fargo, North Dakota. Been running it on my 362 with a 20 inch, my 461 with a 25 inch, and my 500i with a 36 inch. I love it man. Cute lighting fast. But I canāt get files for it. So onceās it needs to be sharpened, itās just a round tooth. A little annoying.
Take that new chain to Gordyās shop and share a video please. Awesome channel!
Awesome video man!!! Super āofficialā!!!
Thatās a fantastic video buddy!!!! Canāt wait to get a loop and get to play too!!!
Round stays sharp in a little dirty woodā¦ I was 12ā up away from the ground or a foot off the dirt.., it had been dusty or blown onto the tree baseā¦ the square dulled immediately!!!! The round made 5 more cuts in the dirty wood
Yeah Jedā¦ great to see you in this oneā¦ gotta go back and watch the handfile your square grind video againā¦
Dude do you know anywhere a full warp handle can be found for the 592xp ?! I searched high and low last night to no avail , if you could help point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated š
Very interesting, the variables are endless. But the hexa chain I have to try.
Can you do a video on how long your different chains are keeping there sharpness?
