Be sure to subscribe if you want more Zelda content, I’m always up for it, especially since my Pokémon series that propelled the channel from 15 subscribers to over 8,000 only has a few more episodes to go.
In this challenge, I must complete The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom without ever using any items that existed in Breath of the Wild. In this video, I attempted to beat all of the Temples. It was a very fun, not at all frustrating experience.
The rules are as follows:
-BotW weapons cannot be used to attack and can’t have anything fused to them
-BotW shields cannot be used to defend and can’t have anything fused to them
-BotW bows cannot be used for anything, and arrows just can’t be used at all
-BotW armour cannot be worn or upgraded
-BotW materials cannot be fused, consumed or cooked
-BotW food and elixirs cannot be consumed or made
-BotW key items can’t be used at all
-Heart Containers, Stamina, Rupees and Small Keys are all allowed as they don’t appear as physical inventory items
-Intact weapons are still disallowed even though their names are different
-BotW items that are the exact same but with just a name change or look/function a little bit different are still not allowed
-BotW items cannot be sold or exchanged
-No amiibo are allowed
-Glitch items are allowed even if they are similar to existing BotW items
-Any glitches are completely fine, as long as they don’t violate the number one rule of no BotW items

Comment for algorithm 🙂
Also just got to lunch let’s go
Seeing this video pop up made me pop up for the first time in eleven years. Thank you kiwi for curing my impotence.
Let's go, 4th comment this week 🙌
13 minutes!!
Kiwi is so back
(Don't have the game)
Can you attach an arrow to a stick to get a arrowpike
(don't know if swinging it counts as shooting it)
(Also I'm going to watch the first one again, if you said arrows can't be fused then I'll know)
Awesome vid chief, my nan says hi too
Great lunchtime video, thanks Kiwi! Keep it going! Great challenge! Love to see it!
I saw the notification for this video while I was driving, I got too excited and crashed my car. I survived 12 hours of lifesaving surgery due to this video giving me the strength to live. Thank you Kiwi for saving my life.
Link climbing up a falling rock while literally on fire is the most metal thing im going to see for the rest of the day
algo feed algo feed (i have not played totk yet but this series is very fun)
you uploading this video made my estranged child call me for the first time in 12 years
Random fact: I did actually get onto the thundercloud island blind on my first (and only) playthrough. Once I got there I wandered around a bit, realized I couldn't get rid of the cloud cover from there, and looked up what quest line I missed for that so I could do it properly. Getting the Spirit Mech was probably my highlight of the entire game.
Doing way better than I thought. Just waiting for that last attack you can't avoid
Liked and commented for the algorithm 🙂 thanks for another great vid!
Look, I think all reasonable Zelda fans can agree that the true queen of Zora's Domain is Gerudo Armour Link
Let's goooo, my favourite green youtuber uploaded twice in a month!
im excited for the next pokemon one and any new games these are pretty fun to watch even if i never play the game before they are really interesting to watch and calming
I know that I'm far from the only one that did the Spirit Tempel early.
1:25
Eyy 😀 glad to see you saw that, I wasn't expecting to show up in the video but that's a nice surprise! I've been enjoying the series so far and can't wait for part 3!
2:46 Hey, that’s me! Glad I was able to help.
i knew fire and spirit were possible but i had no idea how to beat colgera. congrats on managing that!
Can't wait to see the finalé of this, the first two episodes have been great!
yet another 10/10 video, you are an absolute madlad /pos
I feel like there could be some arguement for special fused arrows so you could do the other two temples, but still other loving this dumb challenge. have fun learning to damage cancel throw against dragon gannon.
You can have a bit of an easier time getting to dragonhead island. There's a waterfall with a sky rock right below it that will bring you directly there. You can actually skip the heart door too by ascending through the floor below, which matters for my personal approach of never having more than 3 hearts.
i actually did go straight to thunderhead isles by accident in my first totk playthrough; i sped through purahs dialogue after the puppet ganon fight in hyrule castle and missed where i was supposed to go, and i noticed an area in the sky i hadnt explored and found it+ navigated blindly to minerus mask
Spirit temple doesn't require the quest, but does require the paraglider for some reason?? I can't even fathom why that's the case.
I totally stumbled on because I was drawn in by that big black cloud screaming "Come explore me now!" Got in no problem, did lightning temple afterward, and found out when later doing the quest that I had inadvertently done a sequence break. Made the quest a whole lot less impactful but discovering a fifth temple by complete accident was so memorable!
This really was Beating Tears of the Kingdom without using Breath of the Wild items (Part 2)
Ah, what a nice day for a new Kiwi video 🙂
omg i just finished part 1 and i get part 2 already yassss
Fun fact about the Spirit Temple, it's 100% possible juat to stumble across the Construct Factory and the Temple in the Depths without doing everything else. This happened to me my first playthrough early on and spoiled more than half the plot for me 😭
This series could be much more interesting if not for the unnecessary 'no paraglider' restrictions. It was intriguing before the dialogue with Purah. Seriously, it all just comes down to finding solutions around this main problem. Everything else becomes meaningless.
Fun fact: you can
Wait, isn't the Twilight Bow near the top of Hyrule Castle? That doesn't use arrows, does it?
