  2. You really need – torpedo pod drone to protect ships at sea. The Visby Class Corvette – and the Juliet Marine Systems Ghost ship. Fast – low radar signature ships – that carry missiles for anti aircraft – anti ship – anti submarine – and anti ballistic missile.

So, the Navy needs a total rebuild. Air craft carriers – will sit at harbour in a new modern war, unable to move. As they are large – slow moving – easy to track by satellite.

Who has fast light – nimble ships – with low radar signature – has a much better chance.

Satellites are the real problem for any modern navy. Ships can be tracked day or night.

  3. It is great that an Australian Government is " thinking about the long-term structure". Successive Governments, Labor and Coalition, have failed to manage our resources for the long-term. Norway has built up over one trillion US dollars in sovereign wealth funds, while our political parties have built up over one trillion dollars in debt.

  4. As time goes by – the more obnoxious he becomes. Point of order Mr P.M is smaller ships means nominal capabilities and thus does not represent a significant deterrent too any hostile force wanting too attack us let alone the significant issue in deployment of troops to potential disputed areas/ territories.

  5. Albanese and Co should think more seriously about the existing size of China's PLA navy and the rate at which it will be developing and increasing, especially it's submarine fleet, before deciding which values Australians should have in common and with whom. Not to mention the relative size of our trading relationships with China and America.

  6. We must structure our defence on the CANZUK alliance: research, development, procurement, training, operations and command.

CANZUK is a superpower in all but name, a world power in all respects.
