  1. I feel like not shooting with the terminators in the corner (around the 51 min mark) and LoV wasn’t the best decision. Lethal hits along with rerolling all wounds even on something with 0 ap can do some work. I guess I’m not exactly sure what it was kitted out as, but even with 1 flail and the others having plague combi bolters that’s 16 +3 shots lethal hits rerolling wounds from LoV. It’s all luck but a wound taken off a tank is a wound. I feel like there’s also no reason not to take reaper auto cannon since it’s dev wounds and LoV allows you to reroll all wound rolls, which includes those you’ve wounded with to hunt for dev wounds. LoV spitter is -1 ap, so is the spitter a termie can bring.

So that confused me. You could at least push to bracket it, may not and most likely won’t kill it but getting it to a worse Hit roll cold be worth while. Or just to weaken it at all by a wound.

That would have definitely made sure it died in combat and you could consolidate into the other tank. (If you made the charge that is)

Understandable I was lucky but I’ve kill a Baneblade in 1 round with a 10 man termie squad and a chaos lord in termy armor. Wouldn’t of been able to do that without shooting first though.

I know people are saying DG termies are not that good, but mine have put in work every game even with ranged attacks.

So give to a shot next time and see what happens ❤️. Can always edit it out of the bat rep if it didn’t do anything if it’s a time thing for people watching.

  2. Nice casual game for fun. This is a really good example of two things:

1: (Ik its been pointsd out already in the comments) The exact reason why overwatch with Titanic units was taken out, it did a decent bit of work for little resources.

2: How much little damage Guard does without Orders, Daring Recon, Synergy. So many ones and threes to hit. I dont think this type of list is a complete meme, lots of tanks and heavy hitters, should do a ton of damage; but you just can't ignore the entire Army Rule, which is orders.
Glad to see the exterminator auto cannon do its thing.

  3. In a tournament (not something to do in a friendly game) you can indeed use the RD's "reduce damage characteristic to 0" ability on something within 6 of Mortarion and hope your opponent doesn't use the "ignore characteristic changes" ability, since it's a "that unit can" rather than a "that unit does" effect. Might not be worth the risk but on, say, a lethal shot, it could save you if they aren't paying attention.
