Though the fight started amazingly, Ash already used his G-Max gimmick, I predict the battle will end the battle with Pikachu 10 million volt thunderbolt Z-move. Because the preview for the next ep showed Mega-Lucario fighting Dragapult and in the hype trailer for this battle it seems there's a big exciting final clash happening and Ash isn't wearing his hat
So though it seems they will be repeating a big finale Z-move to wrap up the battle, at least we can appreciate the journey of this battle till then. I guess there's no better way to end a battle to be the best trainer in the world than to end it with your starter Pokemon and friend Ash had from the beginning
But why didnt gengars cursed body work against cynthia or steven?
This battle was amazing, and I'm looking forward to the next parts 😁
You can really tell why Leon is the undefeated Champion. Everything is planned or calculated.
Cinderace to face Pikachu. This is to show off Libero ability. Leon showed that Cinderace can be ground type because of the scorching sands making Ash thinks Pikachu will have a hard time so he will switch in which Leon did the same. This move by Leon is smart giving Ash no idea what other moves Cinderace can use.
Switching to Inteleon. Leon knows that Inteleon is speedy special attacker but very brittle. He utilized the speed to his advantage in the form of sacrificial lamb to do as much damage while it can. I agree Inteleon did well but Leon implied it that Inteleon is only a part of the master plan. Plus taking down Gengar early on will be beneficial for Leon’s Rillaboom.
Using Mr. Rime next. After the damage done by Inteleon to Gengar it’ll be easy for it to KO it. However, Leon didn’t just think of KOing Gengar. He used Freeze Dry to set up a slippery ice arena which will make it hard for non ice type Pokémon from Ash to move. He also set up Psychic Terrain to increase the power of psychic type moves which is strong against guess what Fighting Type which Ash have two (Sirfetchd and Lucario).

So is it clear yet that Leon will only use one gigantamax or he'll also be using 3 gimmicks or 3 gignatamax?

Hey guys! I’ve come up with a new theory of How Pokemon can continue with Ash as a protagonist in gen 9 too!!!In Gen 8,Ash might most probably end as the new monarch.
Gen 9 may start with, maybe some battle of Ash as a monarch against some powerful trainers like Alain, Tobias, Lance etc.. Then, Ash gets new information about his father. He may travel with his new companions to find more. He then finds that many years ago, the top 16 undefeatable pokemon trainers were missing, and there is a probability of Ash’s father to be there. They, then find out a new region which is separated and isolated from the other regions.
His father and the others have settled there, and for Ash’s surprise, the top of all the 16 trainers was his dad. He desperately wanted to meet his dad and speak with him. Unfortunately, for him, his dad had made a strange decision, that his father bis only gonna speak to strangers, only when a person defeats all the other 15 trainers and at last defeat himself. But no one is ever known to have defeated even one of them before. Astonishingly, even for the new monarch, Ash, they were very strong.
So, starts his new journey in defeating the 15 of them and at last his own dad. During this time, he even finds out more about his Aura power and how to actually use it with some sort of gloves(as in the Movie: Lucario and the mystery Mew) This is my new theory friends!! You know what? This makes Alain vs Leon a little bit better. Leon took out GMax Gengar with just Intellion and Mr.Rime. If Leon hadn't made his proposal, Ash would've been all out of gimmicks already and likely would've gotten washed. Imagine Intellion and Mr.Rime taking out Mega Charizard X with similar levels of ease. If 2 of Leon's regular Pokemon can handle a Pokemon powered up by a gimmick, wouldn't Leon's base Charizard perform even better against a Pokemon powered up by a gimmick?

Really promising start. I’ve been rewatching XY so I’ve been missing those really hype battles from that series. I really feel like this battle and Ash vs Cynthia are very close, if not on par with the battles in XY. I’m so excited
Ash is handicapped though, so win or lose, the battle already lost its integrity. Cynthia and Lance sought out dynamax, so it will always be a fair question why CHAMPION Leon couldn't also seek out mega evolution and/or z-moves. He should be able to also use a z-move as well.
What if ash wins but at the end its pikachu vs charizad and while losing pikachu evolves and wins the fight and ash finds out he can reverse its evolution to make raichu into pikachu but he has to go through the new region for it the region for scarlet and violet and in it he ends up finding out he has to win against the elite four their and thats what ash trains in the new region for cheesy ik but i think it would be amazing if that happened
Ash is gonna lose… Pikachu vs Charizard and Pikachu already took damage from cinderace… Foreshadowed by intelleon hitting Gengar then Mr rhyme defeating it… But i just hope it's fun
What I do not like about the battle is Ash not knowing Libero. He is a champion level now. How can he not know about this? That was embarrassing to watch. Pretty sure any of the other champions would know about Libero. It made Leon say "No thoughts to tactics , then". So, far this is the most embarrassing moment for Ash and the entirety of the masters eight.
What I am looking forward to and my only wish is Serena to be the one filling the empty seat with Chloe and Dawn.
I like Leon's choice of Pokémon of having Go's aces on his team. It showed that Goh has more moves to learn for his Pokémon too.
I am looking forward to and wish that whoever wins will be battling Eternatus as the final battle like Alola. And I believe it will happen in the same or in similar way.

Leon suggesting to use all 3 moves is a major trap for ash. He could have a strategy prepared in advanced unlike ash who was completely caught off guard.
Am pretty sure that the last episode of the battle will be pikachu vs charizard like a 1v1 like 6 minutes and then the rest. Is the coronation for the champion
imo Ash doesnt deserve to win. He should be battling fairly and equally, he shouldn't have accepted the use of dynamax, z-moves and mega evolution. So now if he wins, its because he had an unfair advantage over Leon.

Previously it was told that a trainer could use either gmax or v move or mega evolution but in the recent promo of Ash vs Leon 2nd episode Ash used mega lucario but he has already used up gmax gengar. So has the rules changed. If so will Leon be having a mega evolution

i love how team rocket is fully invested in the tournament. growing up ive always wanted to see them NOT INTERUPT important matches, not specifically cheer ash on but i love how theyre personally offended when the pokemon THEY basically help train loses a match. i think their reasoning is to capture the #1 trainers mons but that means them wanting ash to win is apart of their plan its just fire ive always wanted this instead of the stress of are they gonna fw ash this tournament or nah
