  1. imo, in an rpg the fun part for me as a new player is not skipping to the latest areas but seeing how much more damage I can tank and how fast I can shred enemies as I progress through the levels in order, so scaling areas like seleden is like whatever for me if I'm a new player bc I'm gonna follow the order anyway but is cringe if I'm in endgame.
    also just for aq3d I only treat new areas as just places to unlock cosmetics and more powerful gear, Idrc about any of the environments/enemies/characters. tbh nulgath is prob one of my least favorite areas because of how red it is and it hurts my eyes
