In mid June, I said this team was "DONE D O N E DONE DONE DONE". I will admit my mistake right there as ACFC somehow defied all the odds and made the playoffs.
I was just hoping for a squeak by win and then hoping the other games fall in place, but lord have mercy, I didn't see the BEATDOWN coming.
Especially to a team they haven't beaten in their existence in the regular season btw! I said their win vs OL Reign was most impressive, I was dead wrong! This one is!
That was a penalty. The VAR people are either sleeping or are just corrupt. One could GIVE THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT TO THE REAL TIME REFERRE BUT watch the video a get it wrong is too much Crapp.
Thank you ACFC for a spectacular win AND for taking some of the sting out of the US men's steam loss to Germany. This more than made up for that!
Angel City FC made my day. Happy with two great California teams in the playoffs. Becky can sub anyone except for Henry, McCaskill, and Vignola. I'd like Emslie the whole match but she is recovering from an injury.
All goals were great including the one scored by Portland; however, both goals scored by McCaskill and Sydney were just spectacular. Congrats!

Weird game, Portland got off a fairly good start and did pretty well for the first 20 minutes. They got outplayed at every position. They are totally different team with a healthy Sophia Smith. I am sure they'll bounce back and win the trophy.
The Thorns defense seemed to be all over the place in this game
Let be clear, Angel City is playing with some newfound confidence; the energy (commitment) was always there.
To be fair, we've never won the Shield and the Championship in the same year. Hopefully, same applies this year.

I love how the ACFC play. The players look for a teammate in a better position than them to score. The Washington Spirit in comparison doesn’t have the passing sense and team cohesion needed to go against teams like Portland. Who cares if we have Rodman if we don’t manage clean assists?
