ACRYLIC POURING ON A TERRACOTTA POT – Turning a failed pour around! Fluid Art – Acrylic Pouring

I wanted to share this video because I started pouring this pot and to be honest I wasn’t very happy with the colours or the pattern but instead of binning or repouring it, I decided to keep on working with it to see if I could get it to a place that I really liked and I am happy to say I think the pot turned out really well! So I wanted to show you to give you ideas so if ever you find yourself in the middle of a pour and not sure if you want to tweak or how to tweak it this can to give you some options 😊 I hope it helps!

The products I have used are:
Eraldo Di Paolo acrylic paints – Warm Blue – 1:3 ratio
House Paints – Yellow, Aqua, Grey, Orange, Lavender, White 1:1 ratio
Pouring Medium – Floetrol

▬▬▬▬▬ ABOUT ME & MY ART ▬▬▬▬▬

I’m a abstract artist based in Australia but I was born in Zimbabwe, Africa. I take a lot of inspiration from my homeland and love all things art but in particular abstract art/mixed media. That said, I recently became interested in fluid art as it has so much depth and variety. I began my art journey in fabric where I specialised in making hand made fabrics for interiors but when I moved to Australia I transitioned my fabric work onto canvas. I am an intuituve artist and work more from feeling than structure which means I never really know what I am going to create but I trust the process (even though it can be frustrating sometimes) 😊 I love being creative and feel blessed to be able to share a little of myself with people each time I create. Hopefully in doing this, I provide aspiring artists with the tools, knowledge and the confidence to express their creative gifts with the world and create beautiful art for us all to enjoy! Thank you for your support, without you, I couldn’t keep on creating!

  1. Very cool!!! It reminded me of a lava lamp when you added the other colors! I can’t wait to try this! I love how you share your, not so favorites, with us, it’s encouraging to keep trying and not just see the perfect result every time, then you turn that into such beauty!!!! Thank you Isha! I look forward to our coffee time and your kind words too!!!!
