  1. The camo rule is because we have a special unit of the police force that wears it, and so to prevent any mix ups, it's not allowed. The "don't forget your cash", is not because we have our own currency… it's because although the north of the island is more tourist centered, and thus more likely to accept card payments, the rest of the island that visitors may be interested in visiting may not have the machine to facilitate card payments, and so it is advised, just in case you want to purchase a knick-knack or visit some place, that you carry cash so you don't end up walking about looking for an ATM (which can be scarce once you're away from a town or the city). And we don't actually have our "own currency", it is used by many of the eastern Caribbean countries, hence the name "Eastern Caribbean Dollar." Payments in most places are accepted in us dollars as well btw.
