Jup got me to try Bloodstained again. Tried randomizer, had to do whole Minerva without any useful shard or weapon. xD

I see you too were confused by the fact that the first weapon chest in the game is actually a key item chest, even though the weapons in it are basically just starter weapons.
I was just mindboggled when someone explained it to me too, it made no sense until I realized it's about the chest it comes out of rather than what it actually is.
Oh jesus christ, Dimension Shift and Zangetsuto both early, that's absolutely bonkers for a randomizer.

I ADORE this game. On my 4th playthrough for 100 percent. It's just so much fun. Probably going to do a couple more with shoes/guns before I try this rando.

Man… Change your hair, you look like you are pushing 40 with pink hair. Talking about soten, when it's called s.o.t.n. Playing s.o.t.n for years and never gaining skill, and switching to a better movement system and still moving like it's your first time playing a game ever.
I'm learning this rando too, inspired by Jupiter, and it has been quite fun!

When I first played this game, I felt it was half-baked. I agree on the visual clarity, and not only that but there's always a clash of styles. The gameplay felt SotN though, and I more hope that they make a second game that's better and more polished. I wanted to like this game more than I did, but I don't necessarily dislike it.
Skip a boss. Call him a gimmick. Then off to fight Bael. The unskippable gimmick.
6:20 Don't worry, I have the same issue in this game. I'm doing another run right now, and have screwed up platforms quite a few times because I just couldn't see them against the backgrounds. I think it's an issue they could've worked harder to solve in playtesting.
Totally true the depth of field is not correctly implemented.
