Baldur’s Gate 3 is finally here! Larian studios made one of my favorite RPG’s of all time back in 2017 with Divinity Original Sin 2 and it looks like they might be trying to usurp themselves on my list with this one. Join me as I create a custom character to make a journey to Baldur’s Gate after escaping the clutches of the Mind Flayers. I may have brought some extra baggage with me to deal with as well! We’ll be playing on Tactician Diffiuclty on a PC running Ultra Settings. I hope you enjoy!

  1. That fight was a real pain in the neck, to say the least. Some things during it really seemed weird like you said. Then again, it might just seem like that to me because I still don't get all the mechanics. But you still managed to do it and you goddamn deserve it! And we didn't even need to kill the stonemason guy, so all is well.

  2. Fuck this fight!! Seriously!! There's so much strange glitchy stuff going on in this area. Did you ever find out why the enemies attack each other sometimes? I really want spirit guardian, it's awesome. The fight may have taken a while and stressed you out, but you always beat them. You're just so good. Just not right not letting you save the gnome. Haha you wrecked Nere, and your evil laugh when you sent the spore zombie in was perfect!! Beldron and Lunkbug are husbands, a dialog popped over Lunkbug saying "I'm your husband. It's my job" and Beldron said "I wouldn't have it any other way" 😉

  3. I’ve been really enjoying the series so far, but I did want to point out a few things that you may have overlooked and I haven’t seen pointed out yet.

For Wyll, note that warlock spell slots recharge on a short rest (that’s why warlocks get so few) and are always cast at the highest level he has access to. Also, the pact weapon feature should give proficiency in whatever weapon Wyll designates as his pact weapon for the day, including weapons Wyll is not normally proficient in.

All bows and crossbows base their damage off of dexterity instead of strength, so especially for Karlach, you’re going to be better off throwing javelins, handaxes, daggers, etc. (anything with the thrown property) which all base their damage on strength.

Note that you are doing most of the looting with your lowest strength character that can carry the least. Just saying, Karlach would be great at carrying lots of stuff, even heavy explosive barrels which she can also throw.

Speaking of throwing, note that all the waterskins that you’ve been selling (or water barrels that can be picked up) can be thrown to douse flames or do stuff like wash away acid from the ground.

Also, if you ever go back to Gale, please check out mage armor as a spell to cast at the beginning of the day. That's one of the best ways to up a wizard's AC and can be combined with spells like mirror image or blur.

Looking forward to seeing what's in store next!

Wyll how dare you try to blow up Shadowheart what the fuuuck?! I'm chocked by what just happened lmao
Let's goooo! Good job teach! This fight was a pain but you did it! And thanks the owlbear form that was a huge help. And Nere got wrecked I'm happy, even if he deserves to suffer more.
