On March 18, 2023, (in Rolling Fork, MS) I organized a prayer vigil and candlelight gathering specifically to pray to God for protection against violent weather. Something told me that the town was in danger. Many people joined in the prayer and song service. We begged God to protect us; we prayed IN ADVANCE and pleaded that we be spared. Then, we were slaughtered by an act of God. All our prayers went unanswered. It does no good to pray AFTER the disaster. We prayed BEFORE, and it did nothing to help us.
