I have no sympathy for Lando Norris.
Iāll only be calling Logan āLogi Sargeā from now on š
Didn't a bunch of engineers left Merc for Redbull in 2020 as well? That might be starting to show a lot now as well.
I wanted a Fernando podium so bad at the start of the race. Glad he was able to make up the positions!
Gasly, won, Ocon won, Ricciardo wonā¦so you have your answerā¦
I donāt think Alonso has the 2nd best car. Leclerc was comfortably in 3rd with no threat. That being said, his car didnāt finish so that doesnāt help the 2nd best car argument but I do think Charles is a little faster than alonso at the moment . Going to be a fun season.
Also, Sargent looked great for a rookie. Good to see
Can we get chapter selects on these
YouTube asked me to verify my age to watch internets best reactions to Bahrain gp lol
Bring Katy back
Hamilton in next race

A pretty boring race really. A competitive season? I dont think so. Alonso was still 40 seconds behind Max, lets be real here.
I think it's impressive that Leclerc seemed to have a greater gap to Sainz, than Alonso had to Stroll (considering the challenges Stroll drove through this weekend). Track specific deficit from Sainz?
Ferrari hasn't been able to correct itself since the days of Schumacher, nothing is going to change too quickly for them. I honestly thought last season was an improvement, that they just couldn't sustain, but that was due to the actual car development and not strategy as some hyper reactive fans want it to be. Binotto said that he had to take risks last season just to keep up, he wasn't wrong… the car was losing pace massively last season to RBR. Nothing will get solved easily for them and more than likely they're more so set up to compete in 2024… which is what Binotto alluded to.
22:35 – nah, George almost crashed into Alonso as well. Alonso slowed down a little too much on the cutback.
So shoeys are a genuine health hazard?! š Matt there's one thing you didn't consider: F 1 drivers get new shoes more regularly than us mortals do.
In the intro I thought Matt gonna say welcome back to wtf1
Fernando just needs to get qualifing sorted and then the wins will follow…
For McLaren, I expect Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Australia to be absolute stinkers. Once the new car comes in Baku, I think it will take them 2 races to get acclimatised. By Imola, they have no excuses.
Thank you for full podcast!
what "worries" me, Alonso was only slightly faster than Stroll in Bahrain. After all, it was his first race with Aston Martin. So technically he should only get faster from race to race, which would mean he should get a bit closer the Red Bull.
I firmly believe stroll is a very good, but unaware driver. No spacial awareness. Still nothing compared to his teammate though
I just had a panic attack. I went to wtf1 to listen to the race review and straight away noticed you guys had gone. So glad you started up a new channel. Following and subscribed.
Nice to hear more chat from Tom. Good work boys!
i think they are pretty good in quali pace for the ferrari or it might be that they have to setup things to acheive that and it compromises the tires and pace ,
Thanks for answering my question guys.
Since James is with Williams, do you expect to hear āHey Loganā¦ itās James.ā šš Hopefully Logan doesnāt feel the same pain Valterri Bottas did in his Merc days.
I'm not that sure the Williams was that bad last year. I think Latifi just made it look bad. If you look at Albon's results last year out of 17 races he finished in 13 of those he ended in the points or in P11-P13. Only two finishes outside of the top 15. Williams right now is more or less what I expected of them. I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of last year it was a better car than Haas or AlphaTauri.
Missed katy for the first time š
Can someone talk about how Alpine must feel seeing Alonso on the podium after they lost him last year?
The problem with Mercedes is that you canāt just copy RedBull and expect to profit. Look at all other cars who copied RedBull, why arenāt they all faster than Merc?
The answer lies on the floor. With these regulations the floor is MUCH more important than what your side pods look like. Thereās a lot more that Mercedes needs to work on.
