10 Whiskey Bottles That Will Stop You In Your Tracks

Don’t judge a book by its cover…Okay maybe just this once..

You know what’s awesome about whiskey, we can sip the same thing and have completely different experiences, just like with food. Just because I give my opinion on a bottle does not mean you will agree. I always encourage you to try these for yourself and leave me a comment to let me know what you think.

  1. Have never bought a bottle because of how it looks nor would I. It’s all about the juice inside. And price has a lot to do with what I buy. And anything over 150 is way out for me. New Riff is a brand that I have yet to try but am looking forward to it. And yes MM 46 is fantastic and the cask is a hitter. And Frey ranch is a hitter at cask strength and what I’m looking for. Old fitz isn’t something I’m looking wif you enjoy what’s fine. And any BT product is not what I’m interested in. Other than a Stagg.

  2. Great video. I love the Stagg bottle. Stops me in my tracks. It is simple yet classy IMO. On Smoke Wagon, during the pandemic they had a hard time getting their glass from France. So they went with a clear bottle for a while. I preferred them to be honest. Seems many did but Aaron went back when the other glass became available again.

  3. I've got a few more for you, and I'll limit it to bourbon since that seems to be your primary thing. I.W. Harper 15 yr….the cross hatched pattern makes it decanter worthy. Tall and slender with a cool label seems to fit E.H. Taylor (honorable mention Eagle Rare). If the slender vibe works for you than Barrell Craft Spirits look nice. Finally, the square decanter looking Rock Hill Farms is pretty cool looking (although I hear the juice isn't worth the hype).

  4. The prettiest bottles I've seen are:

    1. Sagamore Spirit
    2. Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof
    3. Knob Creek

An honorable mention is George Dickel. I really like the fluted neck.

Another video you might do would be a focus on the label. I think Balcones Distilling has some of the nicest labels out there.

2:53 I hate the Bardstown bottle. I don't know what it is, but something about the shape actively annoys me.

There are people who'll call me a blasphemer 😂, but I think the Blanton's bottle looks silly, and the horsey corks are just kitsch. Obviously others think differently. 🙂
