Queen Elizabeth I was the last Tudor monarch and she went out with a bang. Becoming Elizabeth has brought her out into the limelight for us to appreciate once more.
She lived an extraordinary life and it is a miracle that she even made it to the throne and even more remarkable that she managed to see out her life and die of natural causes rather than on the chopping block. It was pretty dicey for a while there!
Her parents Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn both left a legacy that has gripped the world for centuries. Her father a tyrant and her mother one of his victims. It is no wonder that Elizabeth I left her mark on the world in such a magnificent way.

I agree with you about the exploding queen 😂! Shouldn’t be funny…but it is!
I kinda get her being scared to go to bed my granddad did a similar thing in the last few weeks of his life, he was convinced he was going to die at night so he would sit in a chair fighting sleep and would not go to bed until the sun came up, he eventually passed in bed at 11.10 PM
419 years after Queen Elizabeth Tudor I of England death her name is known to every man, woman and child in this planet.
She overcame a lot before she became Queen.
Her mother executed.
Her father having very little to do with her.
Possible sexual abuse by her stepfather.
Her brother became king then died young.
Jane Grey the Nine Queen tried to keep her sister Mary and she off the throne.
Her sister almost executed her but she survived the Tower of London.
Her brother in law tried to marry her while her sister was still alive. (Decades later when he came for her she ended him big time)
I own a cremation service if they hadn't disemboweled her body it would have exploded.
Gross!!! But very interesting! I didn't know some of those things. Wow ❤️❤️
Mary's mother was Marie de Guise of France, not Henry 's sister but they were related through Margaret, Henry's older sister. First cousins once removed.

Just found your channel and enjoyed finding out about Elizabeth 1! New sub!
Very strange just like her father, but a very interesting person.
Mary Queen of Scots was the GRANDDAUGHTER of Henry VIII sister Margaret…paternal grandmother , her mother was Marie de Guise, a french powerful noble family closely aligned to the kings of France…Margaret Stewart had been married to Mary's Grandfather…another James of Scotland
When advised to go to bed she commented that if they had the 'dreams' she had, they wouldn't want to go to bed either.
Hello lovely. I don't mean to be nippy but Mary Stewart's mother was Mary of Guise.
Please slow down!!!!
Her birth was greeted with the greatest disappointment of all the children. Little did they know, she was truly the heir they had been praying for and then some.
Elizabeth only refused to go to bed in the last few days of her life, not in the last few years. She stood for about 3 days, and then as you noted lay on pillows on the floor for a time until she could be got into bed where she finally died.
She did deny being responsible for Mary’s execution. After Mary was found guilty of plotting to have Elizabeth assassinated (which Mary did), Elizabeth would not sign the death warrant. She kept putting it off. Then she asked for it. It is a little unclear what happened then, she said one thing, and her secretary said another. She claimed she told her secretary not to have sealed without further authority. I think she actually told him to take it to the privy council to get it done, and she didn’t want to know anything more about it.
I think you are right her denying authorising the execution was guilt (and possibly a ploy as to not look responsible).
She was well educated, but so were her brother Edward and her sister. It was her father Henry, not her stepmother, who made sure she got a good education.
Your accent is not clear and the facts can not be understood. Speak a little more slower it may help
I love that you have read about Elizabeth. I have been reading about her for over 50 years. However please stick to facts.
The story of Elizabeth being a boy, called the Bisley Boy, is a myth. It was not possible. Elizabeth lived surrounded by attendants. In fact foreign ambassadors would bribe them to find out the most intimate details of her life. In the early part of her reign she was best catch in the marriage game. So ambassadors wanted to be able to tell their masters she could bear children and bribed her maids to find out about her monthly cycles.
Another popular theory as to why Queen Elizabeth I never actually married was because it was believed that the only man she really truly loved was Robert Dudley, Earl of Leiceter. They were childhood friends, close to the same age, devout Protestants and after being locked away and reunited in the Tower of London they had a bond that was unbreakable.
Now the reasons as to why they could never marry were complicated. Robert Dudley was involved in a plot against Queen Mary I and for the rest of his life he had the stigma of being a traitor. Making him the most unpopular man in all of England. So her Royal Court would've never approved of the match. But there was another bigger yet less complicated reason.
Robert Dudley was already married.
I couldn’t understand a word.
Forgive me if I may be so plain, as I was less than impressed with your video. I live in Sussex England, and work as a historian of mediaeval and early modern history. I obtained my degree at The University of Edinburgh, and along side my PhD. hold two masters degree’s, one in Tudor history, and the other in archaeology. Firstly, it’s important you be certain the information you are providing is correct. Historical reference is very easily misinterpreted, or miscommunicated, so accuracy is important. Without proper research, you further perpetuate the passing of bad information. I urge you most enthusiastically, to extensively research your topics before you make your videos. It’s also imperative that when you relay information, it’s given in the appropriate context. Not only have you provided information that is not accurate, but you have failed to give much information in its context, leaving the viewer poorly educated on the subject. If you have the intention of communicating historical events, I humbly beg you do better than this. It’s okay to make mistakes….However, it’s of my opinion that your improprieties are due to poor efforts. With that, I hope to see something better from you in the future. Wishing you the same grace of God that I wish to myself. Blessings.
