  2. When Link, Rauru and Sonia restore the Light Dragon back to Zelda, I think it’s pretty symbolic of the Triforce restoring Zelda.
    Link=Courage
    Sonia=Wisdom
    Rauru=Power
    The three of them come together and channel the virtues of the Triforce to restore her

  3. First of: Phenomenal intro

    Now some of my experiences and random thoughts:

    The layout of the map found in the forgotten temple is pretty interesting, Central Hyrule in particular. It has much more water and lakes than the plains we know and when I compared it to modern Hyrules topography, I noticed that it makes sence. Rivers dig deeper in the ground as time passes, cutting the watersource from areas where it couldn't dig fast enough. The hylians drying the fields to build their new capitol might also have something to do with it. The dry lake- and riverbeds are still partially visible

    If Monster Mazes theory is correct and Zelda is in posession of the Triforce inherited by her family, that would mean the Master Sword was imbedded in the essence of the gods and the worlds very foundation.

    Its like being attached to a catheter.

    Thats infusing pure adrenaline.

    For ten thousands of years.

    19:34 Link leaning forward to better look over Minerus head is oddly funny

    The music when reaching the imprisoning chamber reminds me a lot of the mines of Moria from Lord of the Rings

    The arrival of the sages at Glooms Lair is as anime and cheesy as it can get

    41:37 Lets call that just Warriors Insight

    45:44 When I first fought Ganondorf in this form, he shattered my durability buffed Hylian Shield with. one .single. hit.
    Thats where I noped out and reloaded my save to better prepare. He broke it also on my second attempt.

    49:07 This. This line of text. As soon as I read it, I lost it. I knew what was about to come, yet, I never even thought of it ever happening. And it was the beginning of a finale, that topped everything I saw in the whole series.
    I screamed and cried from ectasy. Ganondorfs dragon form is absolutely perfectly designed and the fight is the most epic Nintendo could have come up with.

    1:00:16 I like how this specific shot does not only mirror the games beginning, but also Links vision in Skyward Sword, before he mets Fi. It has gone full circle in a way. And again, I cried when Zelda woke up

    1:01:17 This is how Hyrule Castle now is forever. Probably needs a bit of construction to reach it again via foot.

    I hope the next time takes a while. After that, you deserve rest, and a new subscriber. Thanks for your work and ambition for this series

  4. Did anyone else after finding the chamber room in the forgotten temple behind the fallen Hylia statue think it was the same room from Skyward Sword where that Zelda was in a crystal for thousands of years confirming the it was the Chamber of Time ? Or just me lol

  5. Ganondorf does NOT have the same time dilation power as Link; he can perfect dodge and parry, and when he does, LINK sees it in slow motion. Ganondorf, however, can't capitalize on a perfect dodge with a flurry rush like Link can – that would look like an incredibly fast combo in his counterattack, which he does not do.

  6. This is spoilers done right. This series has made me absolutely willing to put off a certain important bill to get this ZTotK game, instead of putting off the game in favor of the bill. I suppose I'll just eat the late fees. šŸ˜…

  7. I will say this as a huge fan of Breath of the Wild: for all of its weakness regarding mostly to its narrative (and rightfully so), Tears of the Kingdom is a huge improvement in that department. Sure that you still have to hunt down memories to piece together the story, but at least the story was better written and utilized more relevantly to the overarching plot. This is helped by more interesting interactions between characters, stronger voice acting, and well earned agency by Zelda herself. There's a huge sense of the phrase "Past is Prologue" in the story and it definitely helped informing how the story unfolds between the two different ages. It's a much more satisfying narrative experiences and I say Nintendo pulled off well for most parts.

    Even so, the game isn't exactly perfect (no games ever are, I suppose). The only major gripes I have with Tears of the Kingdom is its weak lineup of dungeons, they're not as well designed nor satisfying to solve and complete comparing to some of more classics dungeons in the series, mostly because they followed the very similar template used for the Divine Beasts in Breath of the Wild. I can understand why Nintendo went this direction for both of the games given the non-linear nature, but I say that they didn't exactly feels as challenging nor difficult. Seeing that they're utilized again in Tears of the Kingdom have left me wanting, even when they made Shrines wonderfully challenging.

    Even so, I still very much liked how the series have fully adopted freeform exploration and adventure and that Nintendo have made efforts to make the story fit well within the new format. Tears of the Kingdom proven that tantalizing story can indeed works and I am already looking forward to how they do DLC for the last main contents before we can start salivating over the inevitable new Zelda game for the next-gen console.

  8. I gathered the tears memories at the beginning and ran to take the OWNER sword (this should be the new definition, according to the politically correctness, right?) from Dragonelda (i dont recall to be that complicated even if she didn’t lower her flying path) so i missed the Deku tree memory and consequently the ā€œsecret endingā€

  9. There are so many plotholes. Where is the all the Shieka Tech? Why werent the geoglyphs present in BotW? It almost feels like another alternate history "Fanfiction" Sideline like Age of Calamity is. Aside of this the game was great.

  10. Wow. Just wow. This man literally made an entire 3 part documentary in a matter of less than 3 months after this game’s released. Incredible work, Zeltik. The writing, narration, editing, music, etc. were all on point.

  11. So what if the merging of all three timelines caused the complete destruction of the old Hyrule & the Hyrule in breath of the wild is in fact a new Hyrule that was recreated by Sonie & Raruru without knowing that there existed a Hyrule before this one.
