  1. Honestly my main wish for tears of the kingdom in terms of Ganondorf's character is for him to be both innocent and guilty. Both the Victim and the Perpetrator. And the reason I want it to be this way is because in a way Ganondorf's story is strikingly similar to the story of a separate character in a story not many would imagine when thinking of the legend of Zelda. . . . . . . .

With that in mind, I'll reveal the story here by asking the question of. . . . Am I the only one who thinks of Paul Attreides from Frank Herberts D U N E? Think about it for a sec now before dismissing it. A character moving into the future seeing visions of his fate and yet being unable to change it because of fear for the destruction of who they are. Both are people who are influenced by the hand of fate to be either directly or indirectly responsible for horrible atrocities. I'd be interested in a detailed talk about the parallels between Paul Attreides and Ganondorf.

  2. Yes I've been looking for you! I had one of your videos up months ago. And my phone died. And I couldn't find you again.

Been trying to find you again. I'm so glad I did.

  3. Okay, so, I've never noticed Ganondorf's clothing in TotK trailers but you are SO right. It wasn't a fight, he was taken by surprise. Maybe the hand belongs to a Zonai, like people originally thought, but its owner conspired with Gerudo Heroines to bring Ganondorf down… and the eight heroine might have been the one who tried to stop him and that's why she was cast out of memory, together with Ganondorf himself, while the rest were remembered as heroes. It is notable that Yiga, who openly support Ganon, also have heroine figures in their base but they have the set of all eight rather than seven. Granted, it looks like they've overtaken an old Gerudo structure rather than carve them themselves.

  4. The idea of an innocent Gannon. Groose was an asshat but he was redeemed. The different personality of Gannon in windwaker. There's something there.
He's tired of it. Gannon is tired of demise. It's gonna take link , Zelda, and Gannon to stop demise. I think tears is the end of the curse/cycle.
And I know the developers are absolutely tired of timeline crap. That's why breath is 20,000 plus years in the future. It lets them obi wan hand wave all the old games. Beyond ancient history.
Also, Majora and zonai are connected. The figure looks just like Majora's mask in the face. Those diamond slanted eyes.
    She's coming back

  5. I think the voice in the newest trailer is demise, not Gannon. How close is the trailer voice to demise' voice in skyward?
Didn't the voice sound …. Just not like Gannon? Idk , he's got more bass

  6. I love the thought of an innocent Ganon. I defo think that the royal family and Shieka wer Upto no good years ago. I also think the “no shortcuts” is important too. Great
Video 😊 I’ve been eating for some one to say these things

  7. Link is a zonai. Skyward immediately debunks that….. but……he's green. He's been green from the beginning. Blue are the wizards. Green are the warriors/knights. Red is the devil.
The zonai link in the tapestry. Everyone sees it, but …. he's been hylian from the beginning. Since he was in the…..sky. In the trailers, where is all the zonai stuff? Link is a titty Chicken seal team 6

  8. the no shortcut theory… sure you still have to face all of the bosses but you don't have to do any of the puzzling or fight most of the calamity's army spread across the lands. It's very much a shortcut. Also I think most people agree that the key to Zelda's power was love, meaning all of that praying etc WAS the shortcut it just wasn't working for this incarnation of Zelda. On the other hand her travelling around to visit Sheikah ruins in her research led to her falling for Link and Gannondorf attacked right when Mipha was going to give her the clue which would have prevented him from using the Sheikah tech against them. (since she would have countered it with her powers)

  9. places and objects can be cursed, I like the Blights being the original pilots theory but let's take it the next logical step:
-Terrako from age of calamity is a sentient Guardian
so what if they were not blights as we know them now but instead sentient Guardians. Gannondorf later slowly corrupted them while they were left sleeping inside the Divine Beasts creating the Blights.

This also fits quite well with my theory that Gannondorf is being siphoned as the power source since it would explain the Guardian parts which only the blights have.

  10. Practically all the JP usage in this video was unnecessary for the point that it tried to convey… Is there a specific purpose when there was almost no real difference between it and the official English? As someone who can read JP, they say almost the exact same thing.

  11. notice the way the sheikah are shown to be running on the tapestry: running flat and then above and below a constellation. This could be referring to how kakariko is in the mountains while the Yiga live in a cave but I think this goes further DEEPER, remember two infinite pits in BotW? behind the Yiga and beside the entrance to their compound. Possibly connect to the cave system we will be exploring in TotK so this might indicate that the sheikah have or had a functioning society underground. It would be cool to see it still barely holding on after the recent shutdown of the sheikah tech, with their batteries slowly running out threatening their way of life with maybe a quest to secure them safe passage back to the surface.

  12. This has quickly become one of my favorite channels. So much quality and passion are in these videos. And the way the lore and everything is covered is at university levels when it comes to education. This feels like a class on zelda. But like a really chill one that you can also sleep to. Im definitely here for every video. Stellar job

I mentioned this exact same thing to another Zelda theorist called Nayru (@NayruYT).

The more I look at the trailers for Tears of the Kingdom, the more I recognize a loose reminisce of a certain film. Now Zeltik made an entire video of referencing Studio Ghibli films, but what I will point out is the very loose reminisce to the plot of the 1999 film adaptation of “The Mummy.” Now before you think this doesn’t make sense, let me point out key plot points.
    – a mummified man sentenced to remain cursed for all eternity (check)
    – thousands of years later, groups of treasure hunters locate his remains (despite the warnings from those who were guarding the resting place to prevent his awakening) (check)
    – a woman (stupidly) awakens the mummy with a cursed spellbook (check; though TOTK’s case of the scenario remains unknown)
    – all hell breaks loose throughout the land bringing ultimate disaster (check)
    – the mummy seeks out those he chooses to sacrifice to resurrect himself (and his lover) (check, but save for that last part)

With the themes of sacrificial rituals and resurrection written all over the aspects of the trailers, they point to The Mummy. So to sum it up, despite Calamity Ganon’s defeat, Link and Zelda explore the underground in search of the strange disturbing turn of events taking place there. Not only do they find the corpse of Ganondorf, but it’s likely that the green hand they find is trying to keep Ganon and his malice contained. However, Zelda, due to her ignorance of the hand’s purpose, removes the hand and unleashed the malice, coming face-to-face to the now-awakened corpse. This causes the cave around them to collapse, Link’s arm and the Master Sword infected with malice, the corpse gaining power, Link and Zelda separated, the green hand from before saves Link, but Zelda falls (and continues to fight the Balrog- ugh! Not again. Wrong story!) to her supposed doom in the underworld. Meanwhile, all of Hyrule faces its utter destruction on the surface, with Ganondorf’s power rendering the land uninhabitable. All of Link and Zelda’s efforts of rebuilding the kingdom’s former glory were vanity. Should Zelda survive, she now must explore the underground unarmed and with no combat training or experience. (More or less like any horror game with no weapon whatsoever). One thing to note, Zelda no longer has the power she had to contain the Calamity. So through other means, she’s able to communicate with Link. But her faith in him to defeat Ganon has dwindled. (That doesn’t sound like her losing faith after she had faith in him all along to slay Calamity Ganon.) Furthermore, Ganondorf would possibly need Zelda as a sacrifice to resurrect himself because of the power she had in her, but since Zelda no longer has it, Ganon would search for another alternative. This had me wondering that another, yet a more powerful and combat-effective Princess Zelda would come to travel alongside Link to save her fellow incarnation, but unfortunately with the trailers so far, that doesn’t appear to be likely.

Here’s what I did NOT point to Nayru.

Should the last Gate of Time remain intact, traveling through the past and present would seem possible, BUT… remember how Impa destroyed the first Gate of Time at Lanayru Desert? She most likely did the exact same thing to the other one in the past while Link, Zelda, and Groose made it back to the present. So it most likely ceases to exist. Therefore, the road between times are closed. Furthermore, my idea of a Princess Zelda from another time period traveling with Link in TOTK is dashed. While time travel shapes Hyrule’s history, it could be possible in Tears, but the evidence is sparse on the subject.

While we have NO IDEA about who the 7 Heroines were or why the 8th was erased from history, but the idea of 8 heroines with specific powers has me wondering. Will Nintendo make a Zelda game that resolves around such a plot device in a different way. The 8 heroines (not all of them Gerudos) being:
    – a Sheikah girl (skill)
    – a Gerudo (spirit)
    – a grownup version of Aryll (endurance) (note: there was a scrapped plot device of BOTW Link having a little sister, though the name was never known)
    – Farore (Oracle) (knowledge)
    – Malon (flight) (considering her design was based from Marin, who wished to become a seagull to fly around and sing to the people of the world beyond Koholint)
    – Din (Oracle) (motion)
    – Nayru (Oracle) (gentleness)
    – Zelda (all of the powers in one)

All of the powers turned out to be shards of the fragmented Triforce of Power, taking place in an era long after Ganondorf’s defeat. Think for a moment, the Triforce of Courage was broken into 8 shards, the Triforce of Wisdom was broken into 8 shards. The Triforce of Power was not fragmented. Should it ever, the shards are given to 7 maidens, each with a specific power, while Zelda has the top tip shard which contains all of the individual powers combined. With it and the Triforce of Wisdom, she’s the most powerful of the maidens.

Just a speculative idea for a future Zelda title in any shape or form.

    GOING OFF THE SUBJECT

Splatoon 3 features a music/bandit trio called Deep Cut.

I could have sworn their names were a VERY LOOSE reference to Twinrova and Ganondorf.
    Frye – for Fire (Koume)
    Shiver – for Ice (Kotake)
Big Man – for… uh.. Big Man (Ganondorf)

But their names run much “deeper” (pun intended) than that. Look them up.

    However!
    Should Splatoon 3 have a Zelda-themed Splatfest,

    Shiver is Team Wisdom
    Frye is Team Courage
    AND
    Big Man is Team Power
(who do you think would win?…)

  17. Huh…based on phrasing both in English and Japanese translations, only the original Zelda was a reincarnation of the Goddess Hylia. It's her bloodline after this which is important. Link is the one stuck constantly reincarnating. If you have the blood of the Goddess in your veins, you are so hosed. Besides, what would have happened if Ganondorf had unwisely chosen to wreak havok at a time when there are two to three Zeldas around…daughter, mother, grandmother? The Goddess could have herself reincarnated as a mortal, but I don't think she has the power to duplicate herself…and her power…in such a fashion, in three separate bodies, with three separate identities. The only time this has come up with Link was when he was battling…what was it? The ghost or shadow of the Hero? That link was his descendant and it creates a bit of an issue, but it's also been proven that when the spirit of Link isn't around, any kid who can prove himself worthy can take up the mantle in a pinch (Say, Windwaker, anyone?). Seems to me there is a seldom seen scene in there that indicates that the Link in the game does not possess the soul of the Hero, but he has qualities that pass the test (and boy did he have to prove it), so he's able to wield the Master Sword.

Now that leaves our good 'ole Raisindorf. I've seen suggestions that he does not always appear in Ganondorf form, and that Demise's hatred has appeared in other incarnations, such as the baddie in Spirit Tracks. Not much proof of that, though.

  18. The story on the betrayal of the Eighth Heroine is very interesting! It springs to mind an old idea I had…the weird kind you'd have just before falling asleep, that perhaps didn't really make much sense…about what would happen if Ganondorf was subverted from that hatred before it could be awakened in him, and with the knowledge that the rest of Hyrule would help him battle this terrible darkness before it could take control of him entirely, he could evict and they could seal away and destroy it, and he could go on to live the rest of his life in peace and in the interests of his people. It might not stop the curse from arising again in some different lifetime, especially if it were not a male Gerudo, but it would show that the Demise-Hatred-infected person could be saved from it, if they became more aware of themselves as a separate person first and decide they didn't want it. It might not always work-power is an overwhelming allure for even the most normal person-but it is always worth a shot.

The downside of all this is that the Hatred is cunning enough to find a way to make it harder to detect in someone after the first few tries. Nothing is ever that eternally easy.

  19. Idk.. it’s pretty obvious the shiekah knew about the being on the wall carving which imo is the owner of the hand because the shiekah tried replicating it’s power using the shiekah slate.

The being was powerful enough to seal ganondorf so the shiekah replicated its power and made the slate and guardians to fight the calamity 10k years ago. The hand sealed ganondorf long before 10k years ago

  20. So I just had an idea. What if the ancient king said to throw away sheika tech because they realized it could be possessed next calamity now that Ganon knew about it and it ran off a similar power source so malice was an acceptable replacement? That would explain the sudden turn about and why those that wanted to keep the tech serve Ganon, cause the tech was viewed as a tool for him now.

  21. MIPHA HAS SUCH A NICE BUUUUUUUUUTTTT, Also people used to call me crazy for finding it weird how the hero in the tapestry looked weird, like he was covered in blue and had red hair and his hand was golden, gave me zonai vibes, similar to the hand sealing Ganondorf. I'm a genius, a visionary, a prophet even, they called me crazy, but here is my theory being used in a renowned youtuber video, i deserve royalties! billions! maybe even millions! the world revolves around me!!! Ok I'm gonna go mop the floor now, thanks for the video

  25. Hi! I really like the idea of blights been the old pilots of the divine beasts. We don't know practically nothing about them, how could be their name and the race been unknown? Its sounds like more their identitys where erased for some reason… Could this reason be the same for the royal family feared this technology? I love your videos, and thats not a speculation, thats a fact.

  26. Just finished reading my first berserk manga and I just realised link held a massive sword the biggoron sword and also in the same game had a fairy. Is there anything else Zelda took from berserk think about doing video on other references. I'm like how have never read Berserk before now and why the anime and games make it look so bad when it's really well written material

  27. About that Breath of the Wild tapestry…I am VERY surprised that more people are not alarmed that Link has RED hair!
Link DOES NOT have Red Hair. There's only one group (maybe two) that is known for that trait.
Those 8 foot tall wielders of mega-abs: The Gerudo! The Gerudo's red hair comes from their progenitor Groose of Skyloft.
Link's hair goes from blonde yellow to light brown or auburn brown at best. NEVER Red.
PLUS Link never has a beard. But I know one person who does. That good ol' Gerudo King Ganondorf.
So I think Tears of the Kingdom will explain why that ancient Link looks the way he does in that tapestry.
They finally found a way to have a lasting peace against the ever-resurrecting Ganon & what happened to tapestry Link is a part of that grand master plan. If the Master Sword is the barrier between Ganon's win, then take out the sword at its source.
Take out the arm that wields it & ruin that sword. May 12th, let's go!! We can't wait no more, Nintendo. Gotta play this game!
