Lyrics:

That Bible by the bed ain’t a coaster no more
It’s still got some rings from the bottles before
That redletter mercy put an end to my thirsty
That Bible by the bed ain’t a coaster no more

Well I told my old man that I loved him today
He said it back before he drove away
Been stubborn like my father
We were oil and water
But I told my old man that I loved him today

I guess that’s what happens when He chases you down
Everything’s different there’s a new me in town
I don’t wake up angry at the mirror on the wall
So if you miss the old me
Well that’s Jesus’ fault

Yeah Sundays don’t make me feel sad like they did
She don’t have to drag me like she does our kids
I still got some questions but I’m counting my blessings
Sundays don’t make me feel sad like they did

  1. This music has made my heart joyful. I had surgery two years ago that almost caused brain damage. I was so close to losing my mind. I've worked as a trader full-time for roughly 12 years. My contact information is on my profile since I've previously been contacted for investing advice. Despite my passion for what I do, life suddenly slowed down and got monotonous. Even now, I'm not sure how I recovered. One day I thought I saw a brilliant light and when I looked back at my husband I saw he was crying. I'm back at work and proud as ever. Every day, people ask for guidance on how to help them.

  2. My dad and I were both alcoholics. He's passed and I am recovering 35 years now thanks to Jesus. Can't wait to get to Paradise so we can tell eachother we love eachother again! I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU MY DADDY.

  5. I converted 3 years ago. For the past year I have been fishing for souls. My father has said yes to giving Christ a try. He will going on a very powerful retreat soon and I know the spirit will break through his heart. I know one day I will listen to this song with him!

  6. Zach Williams sounds like Chris Stapleton wishes he sounded!

Zach could walk into any Nashville recording studio today & walk out with a ton of money & a ton of CMA awards less than a year later, but he chooses to use his God-given talents to bring glory, honor, & praise to his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, instead.

In this day & age of sellouts & wannabes, you gotta respect that kind of commitment.

  7. That line about Sunday not making you sad anymore really hits home with me.

I avoided going back to Church for a long time cuz I just couldn't stand the way how I'd been living when I left made me feel when I was in Church before I finally stopped going. I I just couldn't take it anymore.

At some point while I was away from Church God, my Pastor, & I started dealing with all my unresolved feelings & the sin I was committing to try to deal with all that pain. It was a slow, ongoing process & I made a lot of ground, but I just couldn't face the way Church had made me feel before I ran away from it. I was afraid to go back cuz I knew all those feelings & all that pressure would just crush & destroy me. Finally, my Pastor told me it was God's will that I come back to Church &, in a panic, i told her I'd pray about it.

Later it hit me that I didn't know who to pray to. God had already told me to come back to Church. That was established. So I gritted my teeth, dug out my best clothes out of the back of the closet, & went home, feeling scared & condemned cuz i just just knew I wasn't ready yet.

Glory to God, all the shame & condemnation were GONE! They just never even showed up no matter how much I expected them to. I know how the Prodigal must have felt when his Father threw his arms around him & declared a party in his disgraced son's honor.

I realized that my Father was not angry with me. He never had been. All that shame & fear & condemnation I'd been battling was me coming to grips with my own feelings & pain & while I'd been away from Church & seeking to make peace with myself & God, all that Hell inside me had left for good & I'd never even known it until I got into my Father's Presence & could recieve his love & acceptance for me.

Anyway, if you're still reading this, please know that your Father God is not angry with you. He's not holding a grudge about the things you did that you're so ashamed of now. If you've repented, he doesn't even see those awful things anymore. The only one telling you you can't go home again is Satan cuz he's scared to death of the power & the authority your testimony will help to lead another Prodigal back home.

May God bless & keep you!

  8. I clicked on this video expecting a little bit of country music.
Well, I think this song should be played on every country music channel across America and wherever else in this world that everyone can hear.
This world needs a good cleaning!
Let Jesus wash all the dirt and grime out of your life.
Leave it at the cross at His feet.
He took it to the grave, to be cleansed and be made whole again.
If it’s Jesus’ fault, then I’m good with it!
    Amazing song Zach and Walker!!!

  10. My family should hear this song .they seem to stay angry because I serve a mighty God a God who comes first and let noone take my time away from God like I use to nor do I live their ways . I dont preach to then but love them but pray everyday sometimes non stop for them . If it wasnt for me serving God at the time my granddaughter and unborn child was killed by another ,Idont think I'd be here. God sustained me gave me strength when i even doubted He was hearing. The Holy Spirit dwells ,he is faithful never to forsake us even in our darkest hours. What a goid good God we serve,so if your battling addiction dont give up on you and know prauers are going up every second of the day for you and tell yourself in that mirror everyday God Loves Me !!! And Smile 🙂 Love ❤️
