  1. John Farnham once again lives up to his name The Voice. Do yourself a favour and check out Long Way to the top from the same concert with the MSO. He really rocks it. It’s one he likes to finish off the night with, leaving everyone on a high. I don’t know where he finds the energy to be on stage, night after night when he’s on tour, belting out all of his hits for about 2 1/2 hours straight, whilst clowning around entertaining his audience in between the songs. What a great guy, what a legend! Get well soon John.soon. 💕

  2. John is always better live but the studio version is still great. Please react to him doing Playing to Win and It’s a Long Way to the Top from the same concert or for a softer side of John some of his ballads like Burn for You that he wrote about being away from his wife and Please Don’t Ask Me With Olivia Newton John

  3. So good to see you’ve returned to the light 😂 thank you very much for this reaction … The Mike stand stuff is his party trick he does it in most live acts. Not sure I understand the reference to the kilt? The kilt is the Australian official tartan but I can’t see what you’re referring to 🤔

  4. Thanks for a great start to an Aussie day! Love your upbeat reactions. Three songs that showcase John's vocal and genre range: 'It's a Long Way to the Top(if you wanna rock and roll)' a great rock song also with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and two duets from The Main Event concert: Please Don't Ask Me', a beautiful ballad with his great friend Olivia Newton John, then Granada, a comedic operatic duet with Anthony Warlow, Aussie opera and musical theatre icon (he does an awesome phantom in Phantom of the Opera).

  5. John has been messing around with microphones since way back when they were attached to cables. He used to spin the microphone around like a lasso. Then came the mike stands which he has been flipping and tossing since the cables disappeared. There have even been a few broken along the way. Glad you liked this song. It has become an “unofficial” anthem of Australia, as you can tell by the crowd singing it. 🥰🥰🇦🇺🇦🇺

  6. This is a great youtube concert You must watch it all. John Farnham and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Here he's simply known as " The Voice" for obvious reasons. Comes from my town is a lovely gent, reaches as hard to the audience to touch them. Sadly he's just had a 14 hour operation by 26 surgeons to save his life. Throat cancer which John freely blames on smoking since a teen. Listen up kids. Sadly we may never hear that beautiful God given voice again. Check out all stuff on youtube ( interviews etc. ) and you'll see how reverred he is Downunder. Has sung worldwide but chose NOT to get into that money BS so I hope he'll recover and go back to his ranch riding and herding steers ( his passion). Peace ( Terry from OZ)
