Addendum, use the community college system as a substitute for hugh school. Remedial classes are effectively high school courses and it immediately upgrades to college undergrad courses or trades.

He’s so right about striking but I don’t think it’s possible in Southern CA. I’m from LA and was a nanny there. Trust me, a lot of these high end parents would rather work and get their nails done than to spend even one extra hour with their kids. It’s pretty sick. I was a nanny in a home with three Nannies. No joke.

The thing about FL is that they could easily get their son counseling without fear of repercussions from the state. Try that in CA and the whole boot will come down on you. So IMO these parents have failed their son in getting him the psychological treatment and support he needs. My husband’s best friend had the same thing going on with his daughter down in San Diego. She’s out of school now but she has a lot of emotional issues for who knows what reason. But guess what he sold his house couple years ago and moved to Florida to get her out of the environment. There was an interview on YT channel California Insider with an attorney/mother who is dealing with this situation with her daughter.
