Miyako plays piano, guitar, bass and drums
Miyako is a virtuoso on BOTH the guitar and piano. She also composed and arranged this neoclassical metal track. What you didn't see is her Chopin piano intro to this song which was not included in this particular video. On YT , there's another LIVE performance of this track from an older concert where the Chopin intro is part of that video and it delivers a whole new dimension to this song.
There’s a video from a person named Michelle where she vlogs about seeing BAND-MAID at Yokohama Arena. In the video, Michelle walks out front and off in the distance are three women having their picture taken. Those three women are Asami, Midori, and Haruna of LOVEBITES and they were there to support the maids. Michelle apparently didn’t see or recognize them.
She`s a classically trained pianist since the age of 3 didn`t pickup guitar till the age of 18 and she is self taught on guitar. 🐺
Miyako is a modern day Mozart. Period.
Amazing
Bro still needs to do Rolling Quartz either Azela or Fearless
LOVEBITES – Swan Song lyrics:
If this was the last day you could live on this earth
Would you still go on, accusing someone for today
It’s better to fail than not do anything at all
It is not the length, but depth of life that counts
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
If you’ve never hoped, you’ve never been through despair
Ignorance is bliss, it’s easier to never care
You might think it’s meaningless to sacrifice a life
Sometimes the life of one can save so many more
Oh brave soldier
Oh gallant warrior
Valor to those who died in battle to Valhalla
Believe what’s in your soul
For death will come to all
You shall rest peacefully in God’s Heaven
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
SOLO: miyako / both
Floating lotus
You are so graceful
Saintly and glorious
Till the end of time
Floating lotus
You are so beautiful
Sing me your sweet song
The legend of the swan
SOLO: midori
—–
lyrics: asami
music: miyako
arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)
album: Electric Pentagram 01/29/2020
——
This is not a song. This is a requiem to Heaven. I must live honored to deserve to have a music like this could be playing in my funeral.
LOVEBITES' current live schedule for next year:
June 22th, 2024: Cartagena, Spain (Rock Imperium Festival)
June 26th-29th, 2024: Vivero, Lugo, Spain (Resurrection Fest XIX)
June 28th, 2024: Clisson, France (Hellfest 2024)
September 1st, 2024: Tokyo, Japan (Tokyo Garden Theater)
September 6th, 2024: Atlanta, Georgia, USA (ProgPower USA XXIII)
Yes she can do that too.. 💗
Ok..how about the latest from..Liliac? Heaven & Hell? OMV? Yes, it IS a cover of Dio & Black Sabbath…there will be a surprise ending..watch for it!
Why the Lovebites engineers didn't include the Chopin intro (royalty issues?) and have the piano and guitar mix at proper levels is puzzling! This version is not as good (Miyako makes a minor flub on the piano, for instance). In any case, what an awesome song and performance! Here’s the better version with the Chopin intro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBhtqgiXEA4&t=0s Thx, Mr. RnR!
Here's the link to Miyako's cover version of Eagle Fly Free that I mentioned in the Live Chat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-h3BLRs0Xr4
By now you should know whatever they make is just pure awesome:)
"The shredness"?? That's a new one. I get your point, though. The song is high speed metal throughout, but you could actually use the melody line from the chorus ("Floating lotus, you are so…") as a lullaby if you toned it down. That's impressive writing and arrangement!
Love these ladies! Also love the Chico Marx reference. The first time I saw him play it came so far out of left field it blew me away. Almost as much as seeing Harpo playing the harp (I know, it’s right there in his name but I still didn’t expect it him to be that much of a virtuoso). Love it when artists step outside of what you expect of them and excel.
Rock on my friend!
Yeah a lot of talent around the stage, after any song every time I become kind of speechless. Just amazing. There is the song Soldier stands solitarily, if you want to check, I'm already curious to see your reaction. Hopefully not to be taken down soon. Stay metal
Judgement Day is my top album of 2023. I'd heard maybe one or two songs prior a couple fo years ago, but it just blew me away, Then this comes along…wow!
Again, it is too bad people are all over this new bad version instead of the great 2020 version.
The mix on this just stinks.
I mean, it is a great track, and it deserves much better than what the sound guys did with this.
Miyako! Some people just get it all. Stunning Woman with crazy skills!❤
Sorry all old fans, but how good does Fami sound in this version!!? Her base tone is noticeably better IMO. 🤟🏻
too bad you can’t hear Miyakos piano playing while Midori was doing the solo. I think the old recording of Swan Song was a bit better as you can Hear Miyako.
The thumbs down is not to the video. Lovebites is great.
Just wait until you find out Miyako can also play the …. uhmmm, looks like a guitar but has keys like a … piano. No idea what`s it called.
Oh yeah .. searched and seems it's called guitar keyboard. Duh !
I realized part way through this that you had never seen the version of this from 2020's "Five of a Kind". I highly recommend doing that one. Believe me, it's not a repeat reaction, it's on another level because of the way she opens. Here is a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBhtqgiXEA4
This reactor always cracks me up!
Wolfpack here visiting your channel.
Lol!! Great reaction RnR. If you talk about Miyako on piano, you got to react to this tune. Listz Campanella + Lost In The Garden. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCQmSutU3uU
This isn't even the best version of this song Check out the version from 2020 Five of a Kind with the Chopin Intro
Out of all bands in the world today, Lovebites is my must see live band!! Though they will be at progpower 24’ I hope a U.S. tour will follow! Great reaction bro!
A masterpiece. Shame about the terrible sound mixing, as the pianno couldn't even be heard at the end of the song until all other instruments had stopped playing.
If it is any comfort, Miyako is only so-so on the drums. But she does do her own customization of her guitars. She also recently did a video of making a guitar strap. Midori on the other hand built a guitar at a guitar building class. She is also a competitive bodybuilder.
kinda sad that the piano wasn't mixed well in this version. You can only hear it once the other instruments have faded out.
It seems like every Japanese band is putting out epic music
Fami Fami Fami!
All the women in Lovebites except Asami are multi-instrumentalists though she has played piano; Miyako can play piano, guitar, drums and bass (she will be the first to tell you that she only knows the basics of drums and bass); Midori can play guitar, piano and electric organ (but she gave up piano and electric organ when she took up guitar); Haruna can play drums and keyboard; Fami can play bass, guitar, and keyboards. Lovebites can all sing but Asami and Fami are the only ones that have done more than backing vocals (Fami just barely at that). It is quite common for Japanese musicians to be able to play multiple instruments. Notable multi-instrumentalists are Misa of Band-Maid (bass, piano, trumpet, alto horn, and guitar), most of Band-Maid are multi-instrumentalists, Hana of Gacharic Spin/Doll$Box (drums, bass, guitar and lead vocals), and Tamu of Nemophila (drums, piano, xylophone, guitar, saxophone and lead vocals). Now that said being able to play an instrument is not the same as being good at it, often times they are excellent at their primary instrument and ok at the rest.
❤❤ Please react to Dimash song. Olympico❤❤❤❤❤❤
❌❌❌ dude you should do doom – immora you will love it ❌❌❌
All of us who have played an instrument know that it is not easy to change from one to another. But Miyako does it without any effort 🎸🎹🤯
Not only, but Miyako plays guitar and keyboard in the same time with "Burden of time", show live in studio 2020 (Awakening from abyss).
Really, the whole song is leave the room time. As you say: "No no, nope." Totally justified leaving the room at 9:13.
Thank you for your usual calm, collected reaction. 😀
Miyako is called "The Golden Touch", and this is one reason why.
🤟🏻🔥LOVEBITES🐺PERFECTION🔥🤘🏻
ラブバイツ、頼むよ!😊
You i…t forgot the Chopin intro.
