From the elimination of Anwar al-Awlaki, Mohammed Emwazi, and other high-profile terrorist leaders, as well as the obliteration of hundreds of their facilities, the US MQ-9 Reaper drone has become one of the USâ most powerful assets.
Since 2007, this sleek predator has dominated the skies, delivering lethal strikes using Hellfire missiles and laser-guided bombs. The Reaper is a tireless hunter, patrolling the heavens for up to 27 hours and providing commanders with razor-sharp, real-time intelligence.
There is no need for human pilots on perilous missions because this high-tech beast is a silent assassin. Enemies never see it coming, and its powerful sensors and cameras make every shot count. The Reaper reduces collateral damage while increasing devastation.
It flies at towering altitudes of up to 50,000 feet, putting it out of reach for most threats. Its speed, agility, and advanced electronic countermeasures make it practically unstoppable. With advanced radar and infrared targeting, the Reaper dodges enemy detection and jamming effortlessly.
This is exactly what makes the footage that has emerged such a big shock for the American Military. Yemen rebels, one of Americaâs less competent opponents, claim to have taken down one of these $30 million titans. If accurate, it may mean the end of an era for the king of the sky and a fresh challenge to Americaâs worldwide dominance.

MQ-4C Triton drone cost $140 million, 350 mph, shot down over Crimea > gunboat diplomacy useless when opponents have gunboats
If itâs man made, it can be destroyed. If channels like this keeps talking about the technology U.S. technology secrets, the world will know how to exploit it. Havenât you learned from the past that, âLoose Lips, loose the war?â Or âCareful, the walls have ears?â
Blah blah blah its a drone. We have thousands.
The Houthis can sell it to Russia, China or Iran and then they can build drones like the US is flying without any of the R&D costs. And where they can shoot down one drone, they can shoot all of them down. Not one of those cheering on the USAF seem to question the right of the USA to fly armed drones over the skies of other nations. Look at the meltdown we had when China sent unarmed balloons over the US last year.
So what is it 24, 42 or 200 hours of operating time
3x you had a different time frame each time
Let me save you guys some time: Skip to 7:44 if you just want to see the title story.
I loved this channel a few years ago….now I feel like I'm watching a Darpa commercial… Guess they got to you too….like the history channel….vice…ect
Hey, let's not Target their radar so they can track us better đ
Religion of peace lol
I have flown them, they are not Ultra-Advanced, the network that allows us to pilot them from the other side of the world is…
8:40 .. what are the "5 other similar shoot-downs" are you referring to?
Ultra advanced this thing is 20 plus years oldđđ
Repeat repeat repeat BS
It's not a coincidence that Yemen was able to shoot down US drones right after Russia announced it would supply America's enemies around the world with weapon systems to hit their interests… Maybe one day a Hypersonic anti-ship missle might fall off the back of a truck near Yemen border to strike US carriers in the region. The imagery and message that would send is far greater than the $13 billion each carrier costs… Anything is possible at this point in an escalating conflict, no matter who "wins", we all will lose…
Sorry but this is very very old technology. Its not fast or super maneuverable. I dont know that it even has flares. So its no wonder they get shot down. Its very very slow as well. I mean its a prop plane with weapons qnd sensores i dont even know what kinds of counter measures it would have. Not to much or powerful. Its just not built for that.
An overgrown RC toy aeroplane with satellite internet phone & fancy webcam. $30M. Ridiculous.
0:30 — "There's no need for human pilots"
WTF are you talking about??!! I'm sure the USAF would have a lot to say about that!!
What you're calling 'drones' are technically called "RPVs" — Remotely Piloted Vehicles!! There's always a human pilot behind these things, in the loop!! You are belittling the service of thousands of air personnel with your BS, non-factual narration!!
And what's so "ultra-advanced" about the Reaper?!! It is far from being even the most advanced of RPVs or UAVs in the US military!! Those would be the newly developed, cutting edge UAVs (not RPVs!!) of the Loyal Wingmen program!!
Clickbaity BS! Misinformation spreading propaganda & fake news!!
Are you sure Biden didn't just let them have it and they crashes it when they tried to fly it?
Houti rebels be playing half life 2 in real life, defying a technologically advanced civilization with scrap, spear arms and parts.
This is an ad by military industrial complex.
Im gonna assume everything you said is a lie.
No self destruct capability for something so expensive and integral to operations over there come on
Thirty million dollars it must be a custom build every time one is built. đź
1:11 A drone survailing a drone? Sheesh!
1:13 âone ofâ try $180 million worth of drones so far. With evidence each time
It's a drone. I don't think you get bragging rights if you "shoot down" what is the equivalent of a hobbyist's remote controlled plane.
This info brought to you by the same Houthis who sank the Eisenhower LOL
no, a missile hits a light weight drone then that drone falls 20k feet to the ground, and its still "together" enough to see that its a flying drone??? NO!!!!! what would be left of that things would be a million >1 inch pieces cover 10 square miles.
Thats ok – B2s can handle anything – Morons.

If this is true, why didnât the US blow up the drown drone to prevent any secret technology to be in Chinese or Russian hands?
It even kills AMERICA CITIZENS without judicial review.
Could see that being a trojan horse
Why do these things not have self-destruct capabilities? Like why can't there just be a communication channel that is always on, and if that communication channel is broken it sets off some explosives, assuming the drone was lost. Why would we give away the technology if the thing falls out of the sky and doesn't destroy itself?
I guess to guys who wear dresses an almost 30 year old drone looks so advanced it is almost magic
They Hooters would chit themselves if they knew it was Piloted by a woman in an air conditioned building back in the US lolol
Click bait
