  1. People are saying Ichibei under the false assumption his Hax Bankai will work when in Bleach it’s been shown time and time again that a higher Spiritual Pressure will negate such Hax.

Yamamoto, even in his Old Age, was reaching Muken levels of Spiritual Pressure. At best, Ichibei’s Bankai would only be PARTIALLY effective such as being able to take away an aspect of Yamamoto’s Zanpakuto.

At worst, he’s getting decapitated again after his Bankai is pushed aside, Yamamoto was really him.

  2. I was arguing with a moron who really believed Yama with two arms could beat Yhwach with the Almighty & thought he was on par with Ichibei overall meanwhile the manga itself shows Yhwach with the Almighty completely no diffed Ichibei who is already above Yama in power, but he likes to believe the fight between Ichibei & Yhwach will be expanded in the anime which I don't see why or how that would be necessary, does the Almighty need to nerfed or something to expand that fight? Cuz that's the only way I see that happening, I don't personally believe it will happen either way

  3. Yamamoto is said to be the strongest shinigami in history.
Ichibe isn’t an shinigami tho he is more… he has a part of the soul kings power and is one of the people that created the known world.

  4. If yama actuvates bankai when the fight starts all the ink would never stick on him and ichibei just dies. If yama decides to go dumb and just keep his shikai then ichibei wins

  5. It could depend on how Ichibei's "black" power interacts with other abilities. We know the "black" needs to make contact with the object in order for it to lose its "name". If the "ink" of Ichimonji can be evaporated by something like Zanjitsu Gokui, that would balance the battle somewhat.

If not, there isn't anything Yamamoto could do to keep Ichimonji from stripping away his Zanpaktuo's power and his own Name, aside from avoiding Ichibei's attacks and fighting him at range.

  6. I really believe it depends on who pulls the trigger first. Yamamoto is far more aggressive in a case like this but i still lean more towards Ichibe winning simply because he outhaxes Yamamoto by alot. Ichibe has hax and Yamamoto has pure raw power

  7. Hmm… However, tyo change name or do something like that, Ichibei needs to splash someone with his ink. Is it possible, if Yamamoto would start with his Bankai? Wouldn't that ink evaporate in close distance to Yamamoto, making him unafected by Ichibei's skills?

  8. I swear to god if a certain Uma in Undead Unluck is like Ichibei i will legit lose my shit. Spoiler below. I just cant keep this rant contained bc its real bullshit. But in a good way.

In undead Unluck we have the Master Rule Umas. These Uma in particular are extremely powerful. We dont know much about them generally. The only things we do know is that theres 100 of them and even if you kill one their rules dont go away.
At the top. Are the Ten Master Rules. The first ten rules that were added to reality to keep it functional. Unlike the union whos ranks are based on mission points. The Master Rules are ranked by strength.

The bottom three. Are Sick at tenth. Beast at Ninth and Language at Eighth.
Keep these rankings in mind right now. As i explain the bullshit that is BEAST.

Beast is the rule of Darwinism. He represents the very concept of Survival of the Fittest. And that comes with a shit ton of powers.
He can shape shift into any animal that currently exists or maybe has previously existed(we dont know) on top of that he has full command over every animal in existence.
But the bullshit part is this: he can bite into an opponents soul and steal their powers, their memories on how to use their powers and their fighting experience and add that to his own.
    AND ALL THIS FUCKING STACKS!!!

To put this into perspective. Even if he bit yamato and didnt copy his Bankai. He still has access to every kido spell he knows on top of his swords weaknesses and fighting experience over the course of his entire life.

AND LANGUAGE IS STRONGER THAN HIM!!! the point of this rant(apologies really.) is that being the very Rule of Language and speech gives this Uma probably power thats very much similar to ichibei. Only he cant delete but alter. And bc hes a concept that puts his authority above even Ichibeis bc in the twisted logic of UU, Ichibei is technically drawing power from Language every time he names a sword.
One little snap from Language and the Hogyoku becomes a shiny gem and he can take away the powers of each sword by simply giving them a different name. All with a single snap.

  9. I think the reason Yamamoto is called the “Head captain” is bc his shikai would most likely burn away the ink rendering any offensive useless purely through his own offensive output: area of effect, attack power and potency, as well as his reishi

Ichibei is a wiley and very deft combatant though, so i could also see him turning the tables and allowing hubris to be his opponents downfall

No doubt this is exactly why ichibei and his squad were separated from everyone else….

  10. Well kinda depends i guess? Like lets say yamamoto came in with his bankai already active, he could possibly win since he doesnt really need to slowly go through all his phases, but honestly it would mostly be a draw if that happens so yeah ichibei wins

  11. It isn't about sheer power force only, like when Yhwach won against Yama by using deception then stealing his bankai (if he wasn't able to seal his bankai i very much doubt he would be able to win with him at current power level)

  12. The only reason I think Yamamoto could have a chance is because Ichibei has to actually hit him with his ink for his abilities to be effective. And seeing that Yamamoto is also extremely seasoned, I think it's possible that he could go into Bankai immediately. One of his abilities in particular allows anything his blade touches to disappear from existence. This means, if he were truly stronger than Ichibei, one hit from his blade would obliterate Ichibei. However, this is entirely based around how powerful both of them are. We don't actually know if Yamamoto is stronger than Ichibei, since Aizen informs Soi Fon that any spiritual attack can be canceled out by someone with a high spiritual pressure. So, it's possible Yamamoto would hurt Ichibei, but couldn't kill him and vice versa. Though, I wonder if those with RELATIVE powers can still defeat their opponent with their attacks since we never really see (at least, if my memory serves me) two mortal entities with relative reiatsu fight this way. I wonder if Kubo will ever answer this question himself someday, since I believe a lot of fans have speculated on this what-if match up before.🤔

  13. With the Q&A from Kluboutside already showing that royd (who got humiliated one-sidedly) was 70-80% of base yhwach (in terms of power, reiatsu, abilities, speed, etc). The information alone places yama and ichibe on relative terms to each other. (And this is "one armed weakened yama" as yhwach states).

The real question comes is how the "ink" and the "sun armour" interacts between themselves. Ichibe has extreme requirement of needing to use the "ink" to remove the names (or to later rename using the bankai). Meanwhile, the sun armour outright erases anything that comes to close proximity to him. Mausoleum definitely can 1 shot yama, but it takes a huge casting time to create, which is practically like a sitting duck to yama.

Also, yes, ichibe's power is the command over "darkness" and "names". But the darkness itself is summoned in the form of "ink". It's not "pure darkness" being thrown at people. Which makes a big difference.

Another thing to notice is yama is actually using a "fake name". Since he changed his name in order to honour chojiro. So, its hard to say whether what we see is even full power of yama. Especially when in bleach "true names" are very important. Would this apply to even "people", kubo only knows.

  14. Ichibei is league above the entire zero squad, all members of zero squad can shakes 3 worlds by very "carefully" using their power, and all of those feats are enough to beat Yamamoto who can only destroy the SS at his full power.

  15. We know Ichibei wins, BUT we don’t know how Yamamoto’s flams will interact with his ink. Will it burn the ink? Will the ink cancel out the flames. When we get an answer to those questions the answer might change . But for now Ichibei wins
