  1. The new red light and blue light on the Tree house I think are for “port side” and “star board side”lights which are on planes and BOATS. Which would go along with boat theming of the Tree house.

  2. David don’t get so busy on other stuff that you don’t get in the Parks more ! Remember what got you started…..which is live reports from them ! That’s why we watch.

  3. I heard they are taking out the turf because people would cut through the left side of the fountain to get into Toon Town and it couldn’t handle all the foot and stroller traffic. They assumed that people would just follow the road to the right of the fountain and head into the land but people being how they are choose the shortest path. I think this will work out better for the drainage from the fountain as well.

  4. I wonder if the demo at Splash Mountain had anything to do with Asbestos removal? I spot some red danger tape and I think it might be what they use when removing it, plus it would have to be plastic wrapped to do the removal. I don’t have any proof and it does seem strange it would only be in a certain area, but maybe it was used to insulate to try and keep the heat inside down? They seemed to use the stuff in strange places back then. Just a thought that came to me when I saw that red tape, any other time I’ve only seen them use yellow caution tape.

  5. I am not sure who is in charge of this renovations but it blows my mind! How can they not know ? The other thing that blowed my mind was the misspelling of the signs at Indiana Jones. The 100 years Mickey statue. English is not my 1st language so I can see my self messing up but from a Disney company? It is very disappointing.
Sorry to vent here! I still love the place very much but It seems that Disney doesn’t care for the high standards they use to have. To me this is sad.

  6. I love the construction updates! Thanks again so much for doing them.

The Toontown updates are concerning. Our family went just a few weeks ago, and we simply had no desire to go deeper than MMRR because of the walls. And Toontown has always been a favorite destination.

I think it’s concerning because it exposes a significant lack of planning, foresight, and longevity that we’ve really never seen from Disney before.

“Sure, we can make multi-million dollar, high-tech attractions all day long, but a small area for kids to run around? A basic playground? Nope – that’s got us completely stumped. We’ll have to close and reopen MULTIPLE TIMES to get it right.”

Disney’s boundary for what is “good enough” to give the paying public has been exposed, and it’s simply not up to par. That’s a significant issue to resolve.

  7. Seems like the brick work around the fountain is more about path of travel. I would think guests are cutting through there more than anticipated and they want that to feel like a main walkway and put a more resilient long term surface down.

  8. Disneyland was completed in less time than modern Disney does refurbing an existing treehouse. As for Toon Town, when I first saw it I knew the fake grass and other poor design elements was a bad idea which they would need to fix soon. San Fransokyo is an ugly cheap bandaid no one asked for. Congratulations Tiana on you fulfilling your dream on opening a cafeteria! Modern Imagineering just doesn't get it.

  9. All this footage and attention on Goofy’s House makes me wonder- they obviously changed the roof color from a burnt orange to lighter orange, presumably to help decrease the interior temperature on hot days…I wonder when they’re going to have to repaint that roof because as we saw with the other buildings, sun and paint don’t go well together…Just a thought. Goofy’s House might end up being the 2nd most troublesome thing out of the remodel behind the fountain and thirdly Donald’s Duck Pond. Come to think of it, too- I wonder how they’ll deal with tarnish on the spongey grass at Goofy’s. Dirt, mud, grape juice? What a pain to have to be constantly cleaning all the artificial surfaces.
