Nobody would buy gamepass on pc the way you made it. I already pay way less for games on pc, so a subscription is a hard sale as is.
Addict, you do know that you always needed ultimate to have game pass and play online right? There’s no way you didn’t know that.

The biggest reason for the no online with the lowest gamepass tier is greed. You lose the major incentive to be on ultimate. EA is ok and a lot of console gamers don't care about PC. So tons would jump down. I'm one of them. They don't want that.
PC Game Pass does indeed feature EA Play as well.

They should add online multiplayer to the Xbox Game Pass Console tier if it isn’t a part of it already.

They buying take two before 2026. They don’t need to make GTA , 2k or any games they make currently exclusive but old IPS and xbox owned IPs they can do. And of course everything in gamepass

So as a person who owns all top tier service on both PC and PlayStation, tbh there is no question at all that the selection of games on the PS+ premium is far better than what gamepass offers. If you think I'm just talking crap or don't believe me, I implore you to do a direct comparison game to game from each service, genre to genre like I have and you'll see. The only bonus gamepass has over PS+ premium is the day 1 game releases feature gamepass offers.
(side note, sucks for you Xbox console gamers they are changing price and features on your services lol maybe go PC)
The no online middle tier does make some sense for console, as some parents would rather their kids weren't online (ie – the parent of an autistic child I was talking to today)… Whereas online is part and parcel with all aspects of a PC.
Also the price of Ultimate is still good value. So even if you still disagree, it's almost unreasonable to give them too much shit for this.
The amount of money you have to spend on a PC and the lack of a sofa to play on, means you get games a bit cheaper. I have a 3080 and still prefer to play on Xbox if the game is just as playable there (ie not a first person shooter or RTS).
I don't know why Xbox dudes are complaining so hard about this xbox live services thing. Its not really hard to understand how it works, people are just getting their panties in a bunch. Its really easy to understand the "tiers"

This isn't a 4 tier service where each option is its own different tier. People's brains are short circuiting about such a basic concept.
The deals you proposed are even worse. For $1/month you'd be getting essentially GPU minus EA play, then for $6/month more you're getting GPU with EA Play.
Of course pc is getting the best deal.. Microsoft is pc. Console gamers need to come to the realization that the migration is from console to pc and handheld.. games are much cheaper to make and much easier to monetize and the biggest thing is the install base being much bigger. I guess people just don’t hear or see how much interest Microsoft has shown in the mobile market of gaming🤷🏽♂️

This is just live, game pass for consoles, gamepass for pc, and game pass ultimate that includes all of the above.
As the first comment stated, game pass for console did not include multiplayer. It never has. Just look at the past articles and the current comparisons. It was just the game rental service.
Look, I've been averaging like 3.50 a month for gamepass ultimate pretty much since its inception. We all knew it was going to eventually change.
Now that I went back and looked what MS has been offering, well nothing much has actually changed. Just the name, the very minor price increase, and the way they are giving away games.
Game pass core is 5 bucks a month.
Gamepass is 11.
Game pass ultimate is 16.
They are significantly cheaper online though.

There are two tiers. Ultimate is the top tier. That's it. The rest cater to people's individual needs.
nothing has changed at all. the only thing that might have changed is free to play games that don't own any games. now can convert to core and play games they never owned, correct? you don't need gold to play free to play games on xbox thou? this might push more people to ultimate imo. other than that nothing changed..? (commented before addict tier system, which is hilarious btw)
i think if take-two is up for sell microsoft won't be able to get that bid wise. amazon will take that for a 100 Billion easily! microsoft can't compete with amazon, when amazon is this hungry to get into gaming!
