Stop whining and crying like little babies. WWE is trying to reach a much bigger audience than the average fan. You hypocrites will still be there glued to you little tv’s . So keep your booing, whining and crying up. The Rock vs Roman will set all types of records and that’s what wwe is looking for, and Cody just doesn’t cut it.

It’d almost be worth it if Rock beats Roman and then right as we think that’s it, Cody cashes in MITB style on Rock, maybe even does a bit of a heel turn.
Or, WWE just made a month’s worth of story telling to “finish the story” and hyping up Cody being the first guy to win the Rumble back-to-back in 25 years pointless.

Here's a scenario, (In Pat Patterson voice) What if, Cody wins the World title against Seth on Night 1 at Mania but loses to Senor MITB Damien Priest that night. Story of night one ends in a cliffhanger. Night 2, Rock and Roman match is going to happen. Roman comes out first in all his prestige but no Bloodline members with him, then out comes The Rock ready to go walking the aisle when suddenly, Bloodline members come out and beat the sh*t out of Rock to where he is "injured". Cody comes out to make a save, but the damage is done to Rock. (This can be the Wrestlemania 9 in reverse as if Hogan was blindsided by Yokozuna/Mr. Fugi and Bret comes out for the save and Hogan tells Bret to get the champ). A FEVER pitch of a response of the Phily crowd erupts when Cody is approaching the ring to where it is UNDENIABLE for Roman to face the 2024 Rumble winner. The crowd is unglued, Nick Aldis comes out and sees Rock is 'out of action' and looks to the crowd's enormous response and grants the Cody vs Roman match to take place. The match happens, Cody looks to win, but history seems to be repeating itself with the Bloodline getting involved and beating Cody. But then Rock comes out limping and he is not alone as Cody's friends come out to help fend off the Bloodline. Meanwhile, the match continues, Rock interferes to distract Roman in a creative way. Cody gets the finish and the win with an ENORMOUS and EMOTIONAL response from the Philly crowd. EPIC!!! (Night One treatment was like Bret Hart at WM X when Bret lost to Owen, but main evented in the end to win the match and the belt but in the end leads to another epic story. Great ending with Cody finishing his story with new chapters ahead, but the beginning of the story between Roman and Rock which people can now sink their teeth in the right way for their match (at either Saudi or an enormous PLE Event or save for Mania in 2025) and their story as who is the Head of the Table (Rock would be in reality as he is a Board Member, LOL). BOOK THAT!!!
I hope this is all a big swerve and Cody and Roman will still happen at WrestleMania with Rock getting injured story wise and gave Cody his rightful spot

I think that Roman was just trying to repair the damage that Seth did by running down the universal championship. Everyone knows that Seth was right about Roman's title. Roman is a part-time p.o.s. and a cheater, anyway.

They could have had the Rock come in and be Cody's insurance that he will win the fight by being the special guest referree for the WWE title match. That way the build up to the match could have been "Will Rock turn on Cody or will he help Cody finish his story?" And the match could have had this cool interplay where the Rock is playing like he's gonna turn on Cody the whole match just to then turn on his samoans and rock bottom Solo and jimmy and Jey can superkick paul heyman and then cody pins Roman and everybody leaves happy.
Why Didn't they just do that?
