WORRYING REVELATIONS | EP15 – WARHAMMER 40K: ROGUE TRADER RPG (Let's Play Alpha Gameplay)

Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader is a cRPG by the folks at Owlcat Games set in the Warhammer 40K universe, and based on the Rogue Trader ruleset. In this Let’s Play, we’ll be showcasing gameplay of Rogue Trader in its Alpha state, approaching everything as a cold, callous Commissar as he explores the opportunities and luxuries provided to him by his new role, as well as the risks and duties it brings with it. Real time exploration blends with turn-based tactical combat alongside the brutality of the grim dark future to bring what is shaping up to be a very exciting RPG in the Warhammer 40K universe.

  1. I think you're right on the money with the Governor being a Slanneshi cultist. Makes me wonder if Janus will be one of the first places where you will get the option to convert to chaos.

  2. Tak!
    14:14 If you just had the "Inquisitor's Aid" Would you there. Might have been a different pop up chat and might been him (;

    26:16 Maybe Half eldar and human. (Peredhel) / hybrids. Because Aren't eldar usually much taller than humans?

    Btw. There is a truce of sorts with the Elder under Roboute Guilliman

    But I could be wrong (;

    But I kinda feel bad for her. Because she did "save" the party (; So she should had the chance to speak. Ofc with her hands where we can see them (;

    And you is a man of honor right ?

    Btw. You should think as a Rogue Trader Not so much as a commissar. But again We did not see what happen in Part 1. So we dont know to much about what kinda guy he is…

    Really hope you will replace the Idlra with another one. Like the with the "Inquisitor's Aid"

    Anyway Looking forward to next time ;D

  3. Spoke too soon, soylent red is people! This governor must be removed immediately, she is a traitor to the Imperium! I am concerned for that young loyalist rebel (it's like Krieg, but Janus) I think giving him free leave was likely the best choice given the cannibal proclivities of the governor. At this point that xenos is looking pretty Drukhari to me….

  4. 23:53 Haneumann is Pasqal's last name which I'm pretty sure is a reference to John von Neumann, Hungarian mathematician/computer scientist whom the concept of the technological singularity is attributed to among other mostly IT things, so it would fit the Magos really well. Regarding the pronunciation, the English way to say it would be something like "Newman", but since it is originally a German surname it would sound properly as "Noymon"

  5. I get that you're a former commissar, but the purpose of Rogue Traders and what separates them from the rest of imperial nobility is explicit permission from the emperor himself to trade and deal with Xenos. So trying to execute the first Xeno you see without even hearing what it has to say is being a good commissar, but a very bad Rogue Trader.

    Anyway the Eldar is probably behind the popular resistance to the slaneshi cultists and the one "working for the Governess" is probably an double agent.

  6. I love that you chose to attack the Eldar, lets us see a bit of the outcome, and we get to see what happens if we take her on ourselves when we get to play, thank you.

  7. Yeah regarding the sign of the Aquila it’s great to see such details included in the game. I also like the fact the mechanicus uses their own symbol, the sign of the cog. Shame I’ve Not seen it in this game so far thou.

    (Fingers on both of your hands curled up to make nubs, then mesh them together to form something like two cogs connecting. )
