Gotta say, soul diviner + urza’s saga or aether vial is the coolest value I’ve ever seen in modern
36:17 is confusing but there is a white floating. Tapping to make the white is a mana ability, so while declaring activation of the untap ability when it asks you to pay {W/U}, you can tap the merrow for white right then. This means you can start this combo with the merrow already tapped, effectively costing 1 less mana ( though if you did, the merrow would also end tapped, not being available to make one mana at the end)
Spike you gotta have one copy of Umara Wizard in there so you can wizard cycle for a land 🤔
That UW player had literally everything game three, so close to going off.
I think a 1-2 Feasting Troll King could be worthwhile.
You don’t have any food payoffs besides the Asmo ability and to pump saga tokens.
It seems kind of weak to play 8 enablers (4 book and 4 daredevil) for only 8 payoffs. The standalone power the card offers I believe is worth more then the occasional dead draw when you don’t have asmo going.
I think that’s just the price you pay to play a deck the edges into combo and value plans. We need to compensate for playing half jank by building to win, not to not lose.

When Spike turned and looked directly at the camera and shouted "I'M GONNA AMASS" I amassed in my pants
1:15:10 chat says amass on Orvar, but I haven’t even seen Spike amass at all yet. It makes me wonder if that card should be a 2nd Soul Diviner or something, especially given the number of times we’ve seen Spike with no discard outlet available.
Anyway this deck is a lot of fun to watch – I love all the synergy
Loved the deck so much I've been testing it myself. I've been running 1 Master of Death as either the 4th or 5th daredevil. Really nice to have a wizard that turns on the cookbooks. Amazing work as usual!
