Chrysalis is badass!!!!
All I can say is this is a fkn awesome story. Never thought I'd like it this much. 👍👍👍👍👍
This isn’t a typical AI doomsday machine story.
I wonder if this AI protagonist is an anti-hero or hero? Destroying the enemy will not bring humans back, but will slaughter countless beings making it the anti-hero. But if the race that killed humanity is willing to wipe out entire races, destroying them may make it a hero. Revenge with a noble purpose or a spit from hells hearth. Interesting.
This AI being seems to have multiple protections against “grey gooing” the galaxy built into it:
1. Don’t copy yourself
2. Project a human form, even if it means giving up some efficiency
3. Be curious, even if there isn’t an expected benefit.
4. Live and let live
5. Appreciate natural things
6. Think of yourself as human, even if you don’t have human form.
7. Acknowledge and take chances on other sentient beings having humanity.
