‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣ THIS EPISODE ‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣

Fair warning: there is a lot packed into this episode!

We had one last adventure on the water in Key West on our friends’, Ron and Joy, boat and spent the day cruising, swimming and snorkeling around the beautiful reef!

The next day we headed to seRV at the SOS (Star of the Sea) Foundation in Key West, a community kitchen that serves meals to children and the elderly through various programs in Monroe County as well as provides food education to the local community. https://www.sosfoundation.org/

Friends from our campground joined us for some organizing, dish washing, chicken shredding and potato cutting! We wrapped up the day with a delicious BBQ!

We left the Keys and headed to the Tampa RV Show to check out some new RV’s, connect with friends, have a meet-up with Chad and Tara from Changing Lanes at the Grand Design area, seRV for the 2nd year in a row at Feeding Tampa Bay ( https://servwithpurpose.com ) and have some epic Mario Cart battles outside on our new projector!

It has always been on our list to work with Habitat for Humanity, so we couldn’t wait to get to Keith and Raini’s (@itsme.rainilee) first Rebuild Rally with Habitat in Fort Myers, Florida. There was some painting, some demolition, some wall raising and even a little singing!

A huge thank you to Keith and Raini for putting together this event, to Grand Design for providing all of our meals throughout the weekend and to Lee County Sheriff’s Department for hosting us!

We wrapped this one up with an RV upgrade that Corey really wishes we had done years ago!

Stay tuned for next week as we share our time at Anastasia State Park in St. Augustine, Florida! Be sure to like and subscribe and click on the bell icon for notifications when we release new videos!

  1. I installed AirRide air bags on my Ram 1500 last year, and what a huge improvement that was. My last set up I put the air bags in side the spring coils, and they where okay, but did the job. I pull a 35’ camper down the road and with the air bags on, it just makes the ride so much smoother and not so much Wavy, if that makes sense.

  2. Just get the ride-rite air bag system and be done with it. You'll love how it assists with the height adjustment, but also the quality of ride with it assisting your springs. If you're a fan of the Lippert or Mo-ride suspension systems for your rv, you'll like what it does for your truck. Yup, Keys is much warmer than Maine right now, we are getting another foot of snow today! Stay warm my friend.

  3. I would readjust the hitch height as well. I had air bags on my half ton Silverado and it did make a deference, it was a bit bouncer than with out bags, it was harsher ride with the air bags with 45 psi for towing and 15 psi loaded. Nice upgrade though.

  4. I have not had Sumo Springs but did install air bags. Yes; I am aware they are not meant to increase your load capacity; but they take the squat I had totally out. They also stop any porpoising when crossing bumps or wavy roads. With a little trial & error you discover very quickly how much air to use given the load or road conditions. They were very easy to install (although not as easy as yours) & very easy to add or subtract air. Sumo's are easier to install though. I do have the ability for more adjustment, by adjusting the air pressure. Never even entered my mind to use the tongue jack & trailer to raise the back end. That would have been a lot easier than using my bottle jacks & timber.

  5. I am a firm believer in air bags !!!! I was a diesel Mechanic for several years and all off the over the road big trucks run air bags and its helps a bunch. Air bags are Awesome !!! I could go into hours of talking about it as a former truck driver, heavy truck mechanic and a rver with GMC 3500HD pulling a 37 ft toy hauler!!!!! air bags are the way to go !!!!!

  6. We will be staying at Sigsbee for a couple weeks in May. The wife and I are definitely going to look into volunteering at the Callahan Community Kitchen. Thank you for what you do and opening our eyes to what WE can do as well!

  7. Did the same upgrade with our F150 rear snubbers, just different brand (Timbren). The lack of porpoising while going down the road made me wonder why I hadn't done it sooner as well lol.

  8. Man I love your videos. You all are so genuine and show sincere empathy.. I also really like that you haven't gone all "business" as that isn't what it's all about. I roam the Big Horns, Tetons and the Snowy Range in Wyoming. Maybe I'll get to catch up with you someday!

  9. Surprised that trailer makes it squat at all. Is that a 3500? I have a 3500 SRW, and even with my heavy 5th wheel hardly squats at all. Agree open the sumo springs. I think I’ll at least install on the fifth wheel. Travel should be much better either way

  10. Did you consider Timbren? If so what made you decide to go with Sumo? Hopefully going to add one of these to our GMC in the near future because we are right at max payload when towing our 5th wheel and porpoising sucks.

We did find that upping the pressure in the front tired to match the rear tires when towing actually helped.
