Windows 11 KB5035853 causes File Explorer to Load in 2 Pieces



The latest March 2024 “B” release Patch Tuesday security update for Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2 seems to have broken the File Explorer.

How will uninstall the update will fix the issue at first in september when microsoft started rolling out updates in US Canada and the united kingdom this file explorer issue wan't present there but in early october when the update was rolled to rest of the world this issue started happeing and for a while this issue was patched until now it started happening again

The fact that the ribbon part of the windows file explorer loads in after a few seconds, suggests that it isn't really a high priority for Microsoft to fix asap, but would do later down the line. If however the ribbon part of windows file explorer didn't load, only then Microsoft would seek to find a fix asap. I personally wouldn't call this an issue, but rather an inconvenience. Needless to say file explorer is still functional even if you have to wait a second or 2 for file explorer to fully populate.

  3. It's just a new feature so that MS can annoy their users. It's their main mission now – 'annoy as many as possible with dumb little things'. Oh and 'never give them what they want'.
